I think this is the 9th year I’ve shopped this sale, and I miss the days when not only were the employees pumped about the sale, but they went the extra mile...it used to be an event. I remember being greeted with the eBar drink of my choice the morning of the sale, and I was in no way a big spender. It used to feel like magic, I think social media and blogging has transformed it entirely. It’s still fun, and I look forward to it every summer, but it’s just a completely different animal now.

I'm over the "influencers" most are so fake... And you know they just try stuff on and don't keep most of it.. It used to feel like everyone was included, I remember last year most of the stuff was gone the day I tried to shop online.. We will see, not trying to be negative...

The Nordstrom website is showing reds weird for some reason. Just FYI if you are shopping online tomorrow. I had my eye on this Rails shirt to wear to my son's Louisville games, but it was straight up BURGANDY, not red at all!

I seem to recall some issues with the beauty gift last year. Like it shipped separately from the beauty purchase, they ran out of the gift, or they substituted items?

IIRC they ran out of it very quickly and some had very delayed shipping. I was lucky and got one, it was awesome. Bummed it won't happen again!

How's the weight on that jacket? And what's wrong with the fit? I'm considering it for the price point!

The weight is fine. It's a lightweight jacket if you live in a cold climate but for LA it's a decent weight for temps in the 50's.

There's nothing wrong with the fit, it's me. I'm super short and petite so it's hard for me to get the right flattering fit. I took home an X-small and ordered a petite small and a petite extra small to check out what works best. This is a cute jacket, I definitely recommend.

Shopped yesterday at the mall of America. My favorite items include the Dansko sandals and the leopard print dress by treasure & bond (Tie waist, pockets!--so cute!).

I also bought some AG jeans, Good American jeans, the barefoot dreams coastal cardigan.

Oh--and so worth checking out are the cashmere blend pullovers by Zella. The blue is gorgeous!

I bought a ton, but was surprised how much had to be ordered given I was at a big store on the first morning.

Do you mind sharing the item number for the danskos?

What All Saints sweaters did you try on?
I'm contemplating the Ridley (blush mockneck, longer) and the Cassia (oversized, striped), but am worried about the fit / if they're cute enough to pay that $$$.

First time posting, but long time reader, especially of this thread! I bought and love:

Something Navy pullover and cardigan -- as comfortable as everyone says it is!
Nordstrom Signature oversized pullover
Treasure & Bond cardigan in red (love and may go back for other colors!)
Free People softly structured tunic sweater in red
Madewell Ryder cardigan (got this in pink last year during the sale and it's my favorite cardigan!)
Longchamp bag in green -- favorite color and last one in the store, so I couldn't resist!
Plus Bogs boots for my kids, and a couple of Tucker & Tate dresses for my daughter

I had a great pre-shop experience overall. Store was not crowded, most items I was looking for were in stock, super helpful Sales Associates. I tried on but did not buy a Vince cardigan and an All Saints sweater.

I went yesterday and was surprised at the lack of product. I do recommend the all Saints trench coat and the tibi cardigan they are both amazing they also run big.
The BP leopard slip dress is also really cute.
I had to order 3 dresses and two pair of shoes that were not in the store.
Actually there were not many items that were special not in the catalog.
My SA was amazing and pulled some items for us.
We had to check in at the front desk and received a black bracelet.
I also love the volcano candles.

**The Simplehuman circular mirror. The fact that I was shocked at my skin when I looked in the store's display mirror probably means I need the mirror...lol. Honestly though, my MIL has it and swears by it. So I had to try.

I'm sure I'll find more once the sale breaks online. Last year I didn't buy very much in-store either, but ended up with about 20 more items after it went live!

I have the Zella Joggers from the last few years and I wish like hell they would make other colors. I got one pair of blue like a year ago but they're always gray.

I've had the SimpleHuman mirror a while and it's great.

Got a bunch of other things too but I can't wait to try one of these. I need my eyelashes to grow

I'm getting anxious for Friday to come, my store is opening up at 8am and I am planning on being there right when it opens. Thats what I did last year and there was hardly anyone there for the first two hours..hopefully it will be the same this year

I don't think so. I just bookmark the websites with the stuff I want so it's easier to pull up on Friday (and so I accidentally don't close out of the browser!)
