Has anyone else noticed returns taking a while to be credited back to your Nordstrom card? I have a few that I got email return confirmations from at the beginning of the of the month that still haven't been posted. I feel like it usually doesn't take this long other times of the year outside of the sale.

Just an FYI from an SA I spoke with last weekend. I asked her if they were busy during the AS. She didn’t hesitate in telling me that our location wasn’t very busy. She sounded very disappointed, understandably.

She said that this location didn’t get a lot of the AS merchandise (I can attest to this from experience, going back a handful of years to this year). She said that a lot of people order online nowadays.

This location is pretty centralized and in one of the nicest malls in the area. But maybe there isn’t a market in this area? And people do order more online now.

Just wanted to share.

Terribly slow! I received an email for a return on July 25 which finally posted August 10th!

Does anybody know if SAs get commission on the purchase of gift cards? tia!
no they don't. They get commission when they sell something and someone uses a gift card to pay for it. Nordstrom wouldn't pay out double commission for the same money. Also it doesn't take any effort to sell a gift card. People who come in for one will get one and if they don't need one they won't get one.

Ok I got my first box today. Here's my run down.

The madewell sweater runs very large. I'm a 12-14 I ordered a large and it's insanely huge. I would size down 1-2 sizes. So that's going back. The BP waffle sweater also runs large no where near as large as the madewell sweater but still too big/sloppy looking. I was actually thinking of getting XL because it's juniors sizing. I would size down 1 size. This is also going back.

Spanx I got both the moto and the camo. The fit is TTS however it reminded me why I returned the pair I got last year. They're too long on me I'm 5'3 and I have nearly 3-4 extra inches in length. So they're super bunched up on the bottom. If I extend it they can basically cover 1/2 of my foot. The moto pair felt awkward on, probably because of the extra seems all over. I'm going to sit on them and try them on another day and see how I feel about them. I feel like I keep a pair I'm more inclined to keep the camo.

I also bought the MCM backpack and WOC. The backpack is going back. It's a good fit on me but it's nearly a full size backpack and I am looking for something smaller. I also ordered the mini backpack by MCM(not a part of the sale)which I haven't gotten yet. The biggest drawback for me is the smell the leather smells awful. And as a leather lover that's really disappointing. The WOC is cute but the chain is really heavy it's the heaviest part of the bag. Which is a bit of a turn off for me. The size is perfect for me. I like all the pockets it has. I'm a bit 50/50 on it. The coated canvas on this piece seemed pretty thick to me. I know others have mentioned that it seems thinner than normal, maybe it's noticeable on the tote but on this piece it's thick. View attachment 4132670View attachment 4132671
Do you happen to remember what the sale price of the MCM backpack was?

Yes. I have six different credit amounts (I mailed my returns in small batches in case something went awry) waiting to hit the card. They aren't even showing pending. I'm pretty sure I'm cancelling this card and moving on when all this finally shakes out. I don't trust the whole online shopping/mail in return business at Nordstrom anymore.

I looked at my statement and my entire balance is part of the 0% promo even though I have a couple non-Nordstrom charges on there. Your statement should break it down - I copied the terms of the promo and emailed it to myself, and it only specifies "Nordstrom purchases". It doesn't differentiate between AS and non-AS items.
I'm glad I saw this! On my statement most all of my balance is 0% financing as well and not all were made at Nordstroms. From what I can tell, this is because I made a ton of Nordstrom purchases that qualified for 0%. I ended up returning most of those items but the 0% wasn't taken away from the original Nordstrom purchases balance so it ended up applying to almost all my non Nordstrom purchases. (I hope I'm making sense)
I'm not complaining at all. This is great but I wonder if this will get adjusted on my next statement.

Makes sense, thanks. I was considering picking up some gift cards on one of their multiple point days- trying to figure out if I should buy in-store or not.
Just in reference to the post above that said the stores are disappointed with Anniversary sale, I'm hearing slow sales *across the board*, for all brick and mortar retail, because everybody is buying online. We're going to lose a lot of beaufiful stores including some of the flagship stores for Nordstrom and Neiman etc. unless people start shopping in stores again.

Did everybody get this 0% financing offer? I don't remember seeing anything like that. I'm a long time Nordstrom cardholder (10+ years).

Yes that makes sense...I made some returns so now my Costco trips are covered under the 0%. Unexpected but not complaining either!
