Noir was never on my radar but I fell in love with the b25 in noir GHW I was offered and accepted. H noir is so gorgeous. To me, I t’s lovely with all three HW. It just gives off a different vibe.
I had asked for by QB in noir with phw .Love the casual vibe .I prefer my bags with the phw.
My first Birkin was Noir with PHW, but if I had a choice, I would definitely pick GHW instead.
For me, GHW has a more sumptuous feel, and I wear more yellow/rose gold pieces compared to platinum and white gold, so it tends to complement it better.
Not that I am opposed to mixing metals though!

I prefer phw because I think it looks more casual and maybe edgy while ghw with noir looks very traditional and classic. Rose gold could be pretty in an unusual way. It all depends on your style. The nice thing about black is that it goes with everything!

Noir w/ PHW: Cool, modern, can be edgy
Noir w/ GHW: Classic, luxe, can feel conservative
Noir w/ RGHW: Cute, a bit trendy maybe (I have an issue with the heat stamp not matching but that's just me)

My B30 noir in togo has PHW. I personally like the cool vibe of black and silver. It seems "fresh" to me.

I have black box with palladium and think it more modern than
yellow gold, but would agree that would be a classic combination
and enjoy it too

I choose palladium because a lot of the jewelry I own is white gold and platinum so it matches my aesthetic better.

However, with anemone, gold is just stunning, so I said yes (not on the noir topic, but like most of us, we sometimes do something that surprises us!)
But really, how can there be a ‘BAD’ choice for noir?!

I lean to PHW mostly but I think noir works with all because the colour itself suggests either classic or modern with ease. My two vintage noir boxcalf pieces look stunning with gold. I have other noir bags in Togo, Epsom and Swift with PHW. Love them all!
Either ghw or phw but rhw pass for me bc of the oxidization issues that people have .
