Which is silly considering that the bag COMES with it, so I don't see why we can't have them. I don't like just throwing them in plastic bins without a dust bag, but I've resorted to using pillowcases instead.
Be very, very careful about pillowcases. I saw a case on the Coach forum where someone stored a white bag in a tan colored pillowcase and then inside a box. Over time the dye from the pillowcase leaked onto the bag and ruined it, it was so sad.
Also be careful about plastic, I've heard lots of bad stories about storing leather in plastic because leather needs to breathe. Cardboard is OK, but plastic doesn't allow the air to circulate and that could be bad too - or at least that's what I've read.
COACH outlets in Southern California generally do not include dust bags on retail transfers. I've heard that the boutiques pull the dust bags before they ship the bags to the outlet per corporate policy.
Oh, that's interesting to hear.
OP, I'm having an issue with storage, too. And we have a huge walk in closet. Also, can't stand that my bags are sitting in dust bags and boxes, and some with no dust bags, too so I feel ya. I've put those bags in laundry sacks that I stole from a fancy hotel.I'm thinking about buying an old china cabinet and displaying them. And if it has cabinet space underneath you can store the dustbags, boxes, bags. Bonus if it has drawers for wallets & wristlets. I've seen a lot of china cabinets and furniture at Salvation Army. My wheels have been turning.

Maybe this is like a hoarding situation. For all we know someone at Michael Kors could be living in a house full of of dustbags. I shouldn't talk because I myself have a box full of dustbags.
