Keith Urban has been a huge country music star since around the year 2000, I feel like I've known his music forever. It's a shame that the US only seems to know him as Mr Nicole Kidman when he so talented and respected on his own.

You don't think he's still respected in his own right? I don't think I see it that way. I knew him and knew his music long before he was with Nicole,and while I think he's got less mainstream success than he did around 2000, I think he's still well respected as a country star. One of the things that i like about them as a couple is that it seems like she shows up at country music events to support him as often as he shows up at movie events to support her. AND, when they show up at events for the other, they both seem to enjoy playing that supporting role rather than competing for the spot light.

IDK where you live but I live in the US and I see him as a very successful country artist and hugely respected guitarist. If you tune into any country music awards show he'll be featured.
They are each big stars in separate areas of entertainment.

No, Keith has been a huge star and continues to be a huge star for a long time now. I live in the Pacific Northwest and did not grow up listening to any country music. I feel fortunate that I lived several years in the desert southwest and fell in love with country music there. I love Keith and Nicole as a couple and the way they both support their different kinds of careers. I love the fact that Nicole moved to Nashville since that was Keith's base. I knew and loved Keith as a singer for many years (long before he met Nicole) but only found out about his fantastic guitar playing in the past several years. Keith and Nicole are both superstars, Nicole just gets more national credit because acting gives her much more national and world exposure.

I don't know how popular country music is across the US or the world. It seems like people love it or totally dismiss it. But I also know I could have spent my life in one location and probably never listened to it, that would have been a huge loss for me. Most people posting here do not seem especially familiar with country music and stars, I get it but still think it's a shame that more people don't know that wonderful world of music.

As you get older and red hair turns to gray or white, red hair dye lasts the least amount of time on your hair. Most red heads I know end up going blonde because the hair growing in is more obvious showing against the red and you have to color constantly, which is time consuming and dries out your hair. Blonde doesn't look as good on many people, I totally agree but it's more practical.
