Based on coherent metaphors alone Black friday wins... there were some lines in roman's revenge that sounded cool but made absolutely no sense. A common theme with miss minaj.

most who feel the need to downplay what lil kim did are the ones who are a) really young or b) dont really no much about the the history of females in hip hop. thats to be expected though. since lyrics are obviously not a priority i kinda think of nicki as hip pop lite with the emphasis on POP. thats cool for radio air play and 13 year olds but lets not get carried away. its ok to be a nicki fan/stan...but she's not the first or best to ever do it... not saying kim was the best writer/lyricist but anyone who was around the 90's can take one look at nicki and realize kim was at least part of the 'inspiration'. there's no point in even denying that

Brooklyn born and raised so I had no option but to follow Kim in the 90's....I'm in my 30's so there's no question as to whether or not I know about what she DID. modeling for Louis is not the same as having a lipstick named after you. Now if there was a Lil Kim Vuitton bag then I could feel you.

@ the bolded, I feel that this is the problem in hip hop. Too many people feel that as long as you're making money then your music must be good. I couldn't disagree more. You have artists like Nelly and Souljah boy going platinum while artists like Common and The Roots are struggling to see gold. And why does Kim's days have to done? Even though Lady Gaga is pretty much ruling the world right now, would you say Madonna's days are done? Rock and Rollers would never say Ozzy's days are done just because Marilyn Manson is hot right now. Nas was right, Hip Hop is dead.
And as far as sharing the limelight, something about Nikki tells me she doesn't wanna do that...she comes off very cocky to me. All she talks about is how much money she has and all these imaginary haters.
