Let's be fair, Kim had verses that sh!t on most people's careers, but it's been years since Kim had something good out and people forget... if she's the baddest ***** (no, Trina, you don't stand a chance, hun) she will body Nicki. If her reply is whack / doesn't happen, Kim's gonna have to wait years before someone will pick her over Nicki as the hottest female MC in the game. Right now, Nicki is all buzz & hype, but she's proven with Monster and RR that she can a) spit and b) can go head to head with the greats (Jay, 'Ye, Em).

Btw, I heard Kim signed with Roc Nation... wonder how that will play out...

... BUT KIM DIDN'T WRITE OR COME UP WITH THE THINGS THAT MADE HER THE BADDEST B*ITCH, Biggie did! He came up with her sex sells concept & wrote all of her hot lyrics! The only time I thought "OH SH*T! KIM KILLED THIS!" was the Mobb Deep quiet storm remix... besides that, post-Biggie, I think Kim is Pawn Bee - not Queen.

I like Roman's Revenge but think she went harder on her older freestyles:

On the stoop with her baby phat bag (check out her old nose, LOL)

^ True about Big writing Kim's verses....probably why nothing she did after him was as hot.

I haven't heard much of her old stuff but I just listened to "The Deal" and it was kinda nice.

I know that Biggie wrote (some/all of) her lyrics, BUT WHY DID YOU FEEL THE NEED TO POST THIS IN ALL CAPS???

that's what I was gonna say...

IMO, two of the truest MC that probably DIDN'T get a whole lotta help from her male counterparts was Queen Latifah and MC Lyte. I think that because their style of rap wasn't about sex, it was about female empowerment

It's really nothing personal, I hope you didn't take it that way. It's because I think Lil Kim really is gassed off of her success and forgot the reason she's even on the map is because of BIG's writing. That's why she is currently resorting to giving lap dances to 10 year old songs during her small venue performances. Other rappers could very well be ghost writing Nicki's rhymes but I assume, since she says it every 5 songs, that she writes her own.

I like Nicki but I wish she would be more serious...like she does the Barbie raps like 80 percent of the time...wish she'd make more songs with her street voice.
Regardless, she doesn't touch Kim, no way. Nick's lyrics aren't that great...sure she says some witty ish at times but alot of it is just randomness...

I'm not gonna lie though, Kim fell off bad lately. -_-​

good point. Kim's verse on quiet storm remix was great . I remember hearing that in my cousin's car and being like Damn! since i've never heard her sound so 'menacing'? Besides nicki's raps are so silly and elementary 90% of the time she might as well be writing them herself, no joke. no intense wordplay, story telling etc to speak of at all. it wouldnt suprise me if there was some 'collaboration' going on every now and then though. I'm curious to see how the album does/ sounds like since she's mostly being a feature artist. like this generations Amil on steriods lol but ish, even amil dropped a few hot bars every now and then
