Looking to buy a Cassie 19... should I purchase now for 30% off or hold off until the winter sale?
Depends on how much you want it. I never make the right decision. If I buy it, the price goes lower and lower. If I don't, then it becomes sold out and I never can find it again. Personally, I would take a chance that there would be a better discount in the future, but if you can't live without it, you might not want to risk it. If you aren't picky about color, your chances increase.

Why would they call when they are priced this awesome. Is Coach going to cancel all the ordered Cassies because it was an error?
She didn't say and the listing for that price is still live if you click the actual link (can't do a search for it on their site).
There's code in there cuz I had it in the cart. I can still go to the active page from the cart if I click the bag. I wonder what that code means.
It is about customizing the hangtag, which you can't select to do that on this item on their site anyway.
There were Cassies at one point on FOS some time in the past few months. You might all CS to ask how many are in stock of the one you want? If that style is also sold at department stores you might have more options.
I think you have at least 30 days to return so you could order towards the end of PCE and then wait for it to go on sale for SAS? Also a lot of times Macys will match whatever sale Coach has and they might have a longer return policy (90 days I think?).
But also I am not the best either: I waited too long on a charm and now it’s sold out for PCE :/ but I think it could still come back; that’s what happened with the sequin flower charms I eventually got.

Just for laughs- just now I was able to place an order with Coach Outlet + Rakuten rebate for this bag. I do not have a Cassie at all and I did not really want one because it will distract me from using my other bags like the LV PM. But it looks like it will never happen anyway. Weird Coach does not do something about this.

I messaged Coach on Facebook to ask if it would be canceled because someone said they were told it was a mistake. They asked me for my order number and came back to tell me it is on backorder till 12/23 (which is what it originally said when I ordered it anyway). So I am waiting to see what happens, but don't expect notice/movement until then. I am not going to stress about it right now.
Just funny how one person gets told her order will cancel. She was offered to get it at $245 (sale price on retail site) or cancel. This is bait and switch, which is illegal btw. She canceled her order. I am not canceling mine. If I get a cancellation email, I will file a complaint at that time.
