New Vevers Ad Campaign. Your thoughts are...?

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate

I am not Coach's new demographic but my 18 year daughter is, showed her and her friend the above pic and they both liked the purple colored one, its decent but they wouldn't own it

They also agreed that it could be an ad for Pretty Little Lairs

As for me I like my purses simple, these have too much going on

I think my next purse might be this simple leather one

The ad doesn't grab me as an adult woman's brand. But, as a young(ish) SAHM, those colorful bags grab my eye. Will I buy one? Maybe. I'm waiting to see them in person and waiting to see price info. Then again, if the chance of scoring one of these at the outlet is gone, so am I.

Style wise - these are not fancy bags, they are sporty bags. I would have to see them in person to tell if they are ok. From the photo they are not quite what I would buy. They are very casual which can be great for a weekend, but I wouldn't pay much unless they blow me away in real life.

The girls look something like characters from Harry Potter who grew up and got angry. I cannot relate to them much.

Or maybe they all think they should look like Kristen Stewart does in photos....non smiling or even scowling when trying to look serious.

I like this ad better than the mess that they sent down the runway. They still need to dress these girls in clothes that fit properly. I don't get that trend of stick-thin girls wearing clothes that are several sizes too big. It looks ridiculous. I also didn't get the "no-eyebrows" look.

Edited to add: I don't usually buy brightly colored bags, but I do like the purple and teal colors.

These bags to me look like they are in the $358-$458 range. I would pay full price for that purple one provided it is the right size and the color does not change IRL. I also really like the new soft boroughs but without PCE I am not sure there is one I love enough to pay full price...but that remains to be seen.

I am so glad that Coach has moved away from the more subdued Legacy line (no offense to folks who love it). I don't think I bought a new Coach bag over a year when that is all there was.

It's funny how brightly colored the bags are against the black/dark clothing-sort of looks a little off. I do love these bags, the shape of them reminds me of the Balenciaga work bag. I saw a bright blue on in Vlad's photo's so I'm waiting to see that one in person, but yes, I do like the ad!

Def Balenciaga Work bag look. I can see that. Which is not bad really. I always liked Balenciaga, though i never buy them cause they are too expensive.

i really like the bags, but they don't look like premium bags to me. I have several bags that are premium brands, and these just don't look like that to me. They are classic and edgy and young, but they lack the sophistication and polish of some of the other premium brands. Maybe i will feel differently when i see them in person.

I own a lot of balenciagas, in fact it is my favorite brand (besides Coach). The work bag is briefcase size and has much much nicer leather. These bags do not have a premium leather look to me. I do think some of the detailing on them and the Carlysles etc look like Mulberry bags however. No surprise there though lol. :p:D

I'm sure the leather is more rugged than Bal, it's the overall shape reminiscent of the Work in particular since the top goes straight across. I've had 2 bal work bags and you are right, they are HUGE like a briefcase. ;) This size looks to be the perfect size bag, not too big and not too small and wide enough on the bottom to fit a lot! :D
