I purchased the white vernis Brentwood in Saks 5th Avenue yesterday it is beautiful! My husband went with me to
Gucci, Luis Vuitton and then Saks. He started this trip saying I had a limit of $500.00 would that be enough to get what I wanted? After taking him to Gucci and then going to Saks he was encourgaging me to purchase the Vernis White Brentwood for $1280. (but you have Sales Tax in NYC which adds about 100 more). The purse is quite stunning, as white is big this year, I looked at a great many purses, I already have a blue houston vernis purchased in 2001. I think the vernis really holds up. The leather sheen they use to produce the glossy effect keeps the bag protected, in my opinion. My four year vernis has very little wear, although I keep in stored in a dust bag in my dark closet and I don't use it that often. The new Vernis does not have a leather interior as my older blue houston did, minimal leather on the exterior and no feet. I have to assume that if I use this new White Vernis a great deal this spring summer it will show quite a bit of wear but whats the point of keeping it in a dust bag? I have a monogram tote I use everyday and its beat up and I love it.
I am a new member and I have purchased Gucci,
Prada and Vuiton bags, our of these, the prada held up the worse, the gucci bag was a close second to the Vuitton, but Vuitton works out best for me, I am very very hard on my handbags, and for someone who will beat up a bag, these are the best value for the money.
