I am still struggling how to attach the panda to the side of the chain. Can you kindly post a photo of where you thread the chain through? I have the plastic things, but my panda still falls off.

Absolutely not. It's tight and secure. It has a double pin hinge in back so both arms of the pin go into the fabric of your garment. One side locks into place with a barrel clasp, the other fits into a slot. However, as an additional precaution on all my clips, I always use a little barrel safety that slides onto the arm that goes into the slot. I don't want to risk any chance of loss.

I wear mine as a part of a chain, on a necklace, and I have no issues at all. I wear it with the chain looped through the top and also with the clasp ends through each pin. Both are fine. They have never come off.

You will love it worn as a necklace! It's odd, but it's so cute I get a lot of compliments on it.

I would get the lion first since it’s been rumored that VCA is doing away with TE and replacing the stone with mahogany obsidian. It already happened with the cat brooch. They replaced the TE tail with a MO tail. IMHO, the MO is a very flat/matte stone and doesn’t have the same effect as TE.

I love the lion, and I think it's the cutest animal due to its shaggy hair.
However, I do not think it's the most usable. Let me explain a bit...

Some background to help put this in context...
I have the panda clip, and I wear the panda with my WG MOP 20 motif. The MOP motif picks up on the panda's MOP, and it looks super cute. Others have worn the panda clip with WG oynx, and the oynx picks up on the panda's black oynx.

Looking at the lion by itself is super cute, but in my opinion, I think it's a bit hard to wear as it is only one stone, just tiger's eye with oynx eyes. To me, I think the tiger clip looks best with an oynx motif necklace, then maybe the MOP. Sure, you can string it on any stone necklace (e.g. carnelian, malachite) and make it work of course, but I do not think it looks great that way. The lion looks amazing though worn as a pendant against say an ivory or black sweater/jacket.

I'm not sure what type of necklace you plan to use. Do you plan to hang it on a 10 or 20 motif? Do you plan to wear it on a plain chain so the clip is against skin? In my opinion, tiger's eye against skin can fade a bit into the background, so just be sure tiger's eye looks good against your skin if you plan to wear it that way.

I love the owl! I think it's super cute and very usable. It has MOP and GMOP as stones. I also find it has so much more character when worn as as a necklace because the clip uses multiple stones and makes it pop.

I think you will love these clips. My panda is hanging on my MOP 20 most of the time and I get so many compliments on how cute it is (no one know it's VCA I am sure, nor do I say anything).

My animal pendant collection is now complete! Unless they come out will a unicorn, i have reached vca animal pendant peace
For those of you that were talking about what chain to use for your animal pendants i have to say i have the vca long chain and the thicker one for, but i prefer a really hefty one. So i dont use either of these, i use a david yurman one that i found used at a jewelry store, i don't know if they make this heavy chain anymore. I tried to find the animal thread to post on but there are so many threads i cant keep track
I feel like the thickness of the 20 motif chain makes the whole necklace swing too much. So i prefer to wear them matchy matchy but on the shorter DY chain. I chose my animals based on the meaning of them, and also astrology, the lion is on my North node. So they all have a deeper meaning for me. Anyone else obsessed with the animals? And what are your favorites?

I'm curious--which other animal pendants do you have? I'd love to see photos . . .
