I am so excited to be finally contributing to this forum. I've learned sooooo much and hope that this thread will help others with their future H purchases as well! Especially when considering the Kelly 25!!!
After much research, consideration and the fact that the wonderful ladies on TPF was able to authenticate this baby for me I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. I've had a number of Chanels (i.e. classic Jumbo, Reissue 227, New Medium Boy etc) but they all were too big and heavy for me. I don't carry a lot in my purse (wallet, keys and cell phone) and these items would just slide back and forth in my bag. I had always thought that I wanted my first Hermes Kelly bag to be a 28 but when this 2011 Bleu de Malte Kelly 25 popped up online...i was intrigued.
I finally realized that the Kelly 25 was similar in size to a Chanel Classic M/L, which I have been using a lot lately. (See dimensions below) I know a lot of members on this forum feel that the 25 is tiny but if you're someone who doesn't carry a lot like me, I think it's a great size for everyday! And if you look at the dimensions, because the K25 is taller than the Chanel M/L, it actually is able to hold more, even though the base might be a tad bit shorter.
