The PM like the Neverfull is a bag you either love or hate.
I wouldn’t buy the PM as a first bag especially as a mother, unless you want a smaller bag for dinners and occasions other than daily.
I have the speedy B 30 and the Neonoe. For the Neonoe, I am 1.70m and I’m still not tall enough to wear it crossbody, I don’t use an organizer as the bottom stays in shape, however if you overfill it (and you can, I can fit at least 2 champagne bottles there), it digs on your shoulder. However it’s an amazing looking bag.
The speedy B 30, I’m guessing on your height 25 would fit better, you can fill it up and then more. I use an organizer to keep the structure as I don’t like everything to be on the bottom and hit on my legs when walking, and it’s my go to bag for everyday, traveling and pretty much everything as it’s super safe and fits an iPad Pro plus all other stuff I would put in.
Both bags fit the following : sunglasses case, 2 multisets of keys, car keys, zippy wallet, 2m leather dog leash, dog treats, hand sanitizers (about 3), baby wipes, water bottle, iPhone 12 Pro Max, male wallet, iPhone 12 Pro (yes I have to carry hubby’s stuff apart from the dog’s when on vacation) and if I really need to I can a bit more. Because they are kind of “structured” you can’t see that they are full to capacity and it’s not like everyone can see the contents like ie in the Neverfull.
In general, when you go to the store you will see for which your heart sings, no matter how much you browse the online store.
I didn’t expect to like the on the go MM or the neonoe but here we are...
I would get as a first bag either the Neverfull or the Speedy B if you want them to keep their value (which keeps on increasing)

This is very helpful...thank you so much!

I have come to the same conclusion on several of the bags you've mentioned...have fallen out of love with the Pochette Metis since I wrote my original post, and have come around to the fact that if I buy an LV it will either be the Speedy 25 B or the Neverfull, in part because of them keeping their value. When I first wrote my original post it wasn't a huge concern to me, but I've come around to seeing what a big deal that is to someone like me who is never going to have a huge designer bag collection. Plus, I absolutely love that you can pay to have the leather replaced and your bag can come out looking like new or almost new! I've found a vintage bag that I'm head over heels for -- the Saumur 30 -- and I've been in awe of some of the "restoration" jobs that have been done on them...but I really don't want to have my first purchase be in the resale market (maybe at some point down the road I will dip a toe in, but at this point I'm too scared of getting a fake). There are still a couple of Gucci bags that make me swoon, and that I feel are easier to go day-to-night, but I keep coming back to that they don't retain their value nearly as well, and they don't seem to have that same ability to be refurbished and look nearly new. Perhaps I'm wrong on that...someone please correct me if I am! Still hoping to get to Hawaii, but the vaccines have been painfully slow in their rollout in my neck of the woods, so it's looking like we will more than likely have to postpone the trip we'd planned to take in April. :(

take a look at the new NF in empreinte? I am 5'0 also and the MM size works fine. You can get an organizer with a removeable zipper top for slightly better security for any NF.

have you considered the double pochette? too small? or the Cluny?
