Hello! I'm new to tPF so I'm not sure if this where I should post this (sorry if its not) but I need honest opinions and encouragement! I'm about to buy a pre loved Leo stole for $500, but I'm not sure if I should do it. I'm 15 years old and my birthday is soon and I've been saving up for a speedy (my parents would never buy me a $900 purse and definitely not a nice scarf either) I know this is the best deal I'll be able to find! It comes with the box, receipt, and I 100% know it is authentic. The price will only go up in price and if I don't purchase now I'll have to wait years until I can. I'm in a huge dilemma!

That is a seriously good deal, I highly recommend you double-check its authenticity with the ladies on the Authenticate This thread, just to be doubly safe. I love my Leo stoles (got my first when I was 19), and they get just as much use as my Speedy. I urge you to consider what you want more- Speedy or Stole. The good thing is, both are permanent items so you'll never have to worry about them disappearing. And you have plenty of time to save up for whichever one you want next!

I think I want both pretty equally, but as of this moment I'm leaning toward the stole I'm just waiting to hear back from the seller she's asking for more but I think I decided if she takes the $500 it's meant to be! Only thing I'm worried about now is the wear of the stole. How does it wear? I was reading previous posts and people were saying its super fragile and I saw someone say a $50 Nordstrom scarf had better quality :| forgot to mention this would be my first LV purchase! If I bought now I would probably get the Speedy by Xmas

I think the wear depends on how you treat your stole. It is an open weave so it will get pulls if it gets caught on something. I have 5 leo stoles (obsessed much? lol), and only one of mine has pulls all over it- and that's because it was a store display. When wearing my stoles I don't wear jewellry that is pointy or has bits that 'stick out' and I avoid wearing my stole with anything with zips (the stole will get caught on the teeth of the zip!). I wouldn't say I'm OCD with mine, but I am mindful, and all of mine are in lovely condition
I have scarves from other brands and nothing compares to the softness and warmth of my Leos, hence why I have a few of them! For me the quality is fantastic and I have more than gotten my money's worth.

You definitely should! I really like the mix of different Leo patterns (there are 2) and the stripes. I guess purists won't like it, but I'm ready for something with a twist!
