new rule - no Kelly or birkin to walk ins??

if you walk in and ask for a B or K, likely no-- but i bet if you drop enough on jewelry and RTW your walk-in luck will change! :sunnies but that's nothing new, i doubt there is a official policy saying 'no walk ins'. plus-- didn't you have amazing luck with your B? it could happen again!

i will say about the charlotte store since that was something you asked in another thread-- i am the exception to the rule it seems. i have had the worst service, out of all boutiques i have visited, at charlotte. and since they are a store with very, very low tourist traffic, they reserve even more of the good stuff for their regulars than a typical city store would.

I don't think I will get the same luck twice. Its like winning the lottery twice lol. I'm not going to drop money on stuff I don't want though. I might buy bracelets or scarves but that's about it. Otherwise I'll go through a reseller to get exactly what I want. Has anyone had any luck in getting one recently without having to spend a ton on especially on rtw, China, etc.?

This has always been the practice where I live, they NEVER offer Birkins nor Kellys to walk in clients ...I have already given up hope of ever owning a Kelly nor Birkin, that is why I am so grateful to all of you TPF ladies in this forum in quenching my "Hermes thirst" by showing all your beautiful Kellys and Birkins, lindys, etc. ...all of you have not idea how happy that makes me just looking at all the beautiful bags in this forum:drool:...I know I will never be lucky enough to own one but just looking at them I am already very content...thank you thank you :yes::worthy:

Yes,it's really difficult to see a birkin or Kelly as a walk in,
They always say NO even you bought something but not so much.

Another question is what would you do if you got a birkin you don't like most?
After spent a lot I was offered a birkin few month ago, undoubtedly I bought it right away. but the color is not my favorite so I still keep it new on my closet. What would you do if you got a bag like that? Try to carry it or just keep it until someday perfect ?

Sometimes I really don't like Hermes rule !

That's why I'm not willing to but stuff I don't want in hopes on getting a bag.

This rule makes it pretty much impossible to me to buy one in store due to not having a store close to me and the no phone orders rule. So I guess only people in big cities with stores deserve to be able to buy a bag from the store...
