Annoyingly, the camera on my phone refused to render the bag colours correctly in daylight, so I do apologise for the terrible colours on all the comparison photos. (But for once the Polène website photos are fairly accurate, and @the_baglover has published perfect photos of Ebony Mocci on the general Polene thread.)

Mocci is smaller than she looks on the mod-shots on Polène website! And a lot smaller than the measurements on website indicate. While she is 32.5 cm wide at her base, her top width (both top flap and internally) is only 21.5cm.

So while she is 6-7 cm wider at the base than Numéro Un, Mocci is actually a smaller, more compact bag

Mocci's base width (or is it length?!) of 32.5cm is a mere 0.5 cm more than Numéro Neuf, and the two can be perceived to be of a similar size

but Mocci is narrower "in all directions"

Due to flap top, Mocci's interior is more easily accessible than Numéro Neuf, and her shape is in my opinion better suited to crossbody carry than the otherwise lovely full-sizes Neuf.

Mocci's shoulder strap is fantastic. Wide yet so elegant. Gorgeous stitching.

The studs on the strap have a really beautiful shape - I have never seen studs like this before - I have only ever seen round ones.

And Mocci's base studs/"feet" ... well - they are in a class of their own.

Thanks for the great comparison pics. It definitely looks bigger on the site than what you are showing. I like the bag, but have to decide if I want to spend the money.

For any who have purchased the Mokki bag in the US, on line, was the customs charge very much? I assumed $800 or under would have no charge, but the website says anything over $600, and can be up to 30%!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Do you still like the Mokki? On the website it states the depth as 11cm. Is that exact?

Still loving my Mokki

Base panel is 11cm deep/wide

Total "external depth" is 15cm...

And interior depth is somewhere in between!
I'm afraid I can't manage to measure the interior depth...

Thank you so much. Really helpful
Do you prefer it the regular neuf?
Hmm... - I actually believe I love them equally. They are very different and in my eyes equally beautiful and unique designs.

That said, Mokki does have a more functional design...
  • I find it easier to access all parts of Mokki's interior than Neuf's interior (have solved this issue by using a leather pouch for all essentials in my Neuf - easy-peasy to slip the pouch in and out).
  • Mokki has a beautifully wide strap - I found Neuf's shoulder strap way too narrow for comfortable carry (I solved this issue by changing it for a wider long black leather strap).

I received my Mokki yesterday in Ebony. It's a beautiful bag. The leather smells wonderful. Wish the lining were in leather as well, but I realise for the price that would be asking too much.
Size is great, wearability and usability is fantastic. It is fairly spacious but appears smaller that it is. It looks best on the arm or handheld, but a very good shoulder carry as well.

I'm extremely happy with it. The colour Ebony is so so stunning.
