New Loulou from Neiman Marcus came damaged

Ok. I just received my third one. I think NM really tried this time because there is no glue or scratches anywhere on the bag!

But maybe this experience made me extra paranoid about this bag. Am I just being too crazy for noticing this weird stitching? Looks like leather is pulled differently in a few places.
I am almost ready to accept this as my loulou just wanted to check my sanity. Thank you!!

I’ve had creases on ysl bags ordered through them. It’s just luck I feel.
That may be true! Guess I should feel lucky then, all 4 items I’ve ordered have been great.

Are those darker spots under the stitching just shadows? If so, then I’d say it’s good.

Are those darker spots under the stitching just shadows? If so, then I’d say it’s good.
Yes, they are shadows; all the other stitch lines are straight so they don’t have shadows like this one.
This particular line has these shadows.
Ok, I think I have become crazy over the two failed bags. I am keeping this one!

I think your bag is fine. Also, I think the Loulou is the best bang-for-buck Saint Laurent style.

Ok, last question!
Is the zipper pull supposed look dull/tarnished? If not, is there a way to clean/polish it?
The zipper pull didn’t come covered. (The last two bags I returned had zipper pulls covered so I didn’t see..) Thank you!

I didn’t notice these at first so maybe they aren’t as bad as I think? What do you think?
There is a cut or a crack and a discoloration (maybe a sign of attempt to repair??) where the chain is attached. I can see stitching inside this cut. There is also a tear where the flap is attached (super tiny, but I am afraid it would continue to tear).
I really don’t want to go through another return/reorder.
Am I just being too nit picky now after having two horrible experiences?

Other than these two, the bag is better than the last two I received/returned.

Oh no, I’m sorry :( those don’t look very good. I personally would return. I feel like the bags that come from dept stores are so hit or miss Bc they don’t have the same stringent return review that the brands themselves do.
 
Now I am stuck....
I called NM and spoke with a manager. She said she could do an exchange on the phone (contrary to what I had been told the last two times). But when she went to order it in their system, the product number for what I purchased was marked as discontinued and what's on their website now with the new price has a different product number. And she can only do an exchange for the same product number....
She said she can offer $125 discount back to my credit card if I decide to keep this bag.
So either I accept $125 discount and keep this bag or return without repurchasing because I don't want to go through this again at the new higher price.

Or I wonder if a Saint Laurent boutique can help since these appear to be manufacturer defects....

Oh no :/ is there a YSL boutique near you? Maybe you can accept the $125 discount and take it to the boutique to see if they can do an after sale repair. But it seems like such a hassle and you shouldn’t have to do that with a new bag :/ I would probably return it.

They shipped my 3rd one overnight and I received it today and I give up :(

I am not overly picky but those issues would turn me off. The issues with the other bags you got were less severe than those (imo). If you really want this bag I suggest paying more and getting one that’s satisfactory.

Actually, the YSL boutique is much closer than a NM. So I am planning to go there and see what they can do.... and I'll decide if I want to keep the bag or return it.
So was your 3rd one not good???? :sad:

Yeah, I didn't inspect the other two bags as carefully as I did this one, but you are right; these issues are worse than the other two I returned....
