maybe a zac posen would be nice.. I like his frame bags...
also a gucci handcuff clutch.. that's just sexy and a great evening piece

I can't think of a third... maybe another gucci in exotic skin (like the b/w python tote), there's another snakeskin hobo (different panels of snakeskin that is TDF IRL -- it's the bag on the right)

Judging by the chatter on the PF and in the fashion mags, and what the celebs are wearing, I'd say these are the most-popular "IT" bags for fall:

--Jimmy Choo Ramona
--several of the Prada Gauffre bags
--Miu Miu Coffer
--YSL Rive Gauche
--several of the new Chanel lines (Coco Cabas, Modern Chain, etc.)

The girls here are posting some great advice. Go for what YOU like.

My personal fav is the Miu Miu Coffer. It's just what I'm looking for. My list of demands are as follows:

Lotsa room
Exterior pockets
Can be carried three ways: in hand, on shoulder or as a messenger.

See, the Coffer's perfect for me and my needs right now.

Make up a list of what you're lookin' for and what your needs are and see what bag(s) fit the bill.

Hi,I am one of those crazy handbag girls...you know...I don't have to have the "it" bag to carry...usually I just like what I like and that's it! BUT...I do have my own little Personal Shopping biz...and with that comes the research of "this moment's IT bag"!

Anyway, I am a big fan of my Balenciaga Ink b/c I LOVE the color, but I also carry the Prada Antic Cervo Satchel in Cacao...such a comfortable & practical bag...that has a great look!:smile1:

So the bags that I have seen sell out and have gotten for my buyers world wide are as follows:

  • Chanel Coco's Cabas in Black Vinyl or Caviar...no matter what size (stores don't even want to put names on the list anymore b/c they can't fill the orders!):nuts:
  • Zac Posen's Aurora Frame bag in the Wine color carried by Rachel Bilson...being his first handbag line...the prices are great for such amazing quality!:wlae:
  • Prada's Antic Cervo Line is AMAZING...one of the bags I carry (the Satchel) in Cacao...stores can't seem to keep them in stock...they sell out SO fast!:yes:
  • The Jimmy Choo Mahala in Red and the Emerald Green seem to fly! (The Ramona seemed to have a window a while back...and although it's a GREAT bag...people aren't dying for it & they are sitting on shelves at stores:):p
  • Chloe & (SOME Balenciaga) are so readily available at any department store...that they are just not that high in demand...UNLESS you get one of the classic older styles at a FAB price!
  • Not being a Chanel girl myself...I KNOW...I have A LOT OF THEM...and they are amazing (I am a little more of an HAC girl;), but the LINE IS HOT this year...I mean there is a bag for EVERY type of girl, a style that suits everyone! Even me...I LOVE the Cloudy Bundle Bowler in the Champaign color...it is SO light weight and soft...but I love my Hermes....
Anyway, hope this helps...I am not a know it all! This is just what I am seeing in all the rag mags, web sites, and what I have sold...I mean I have 35 people watching one Coco's Cabas on ebay right now...I MEAN 35!!! YOU have got to be kidding me! Anyway, sorry to ramble! LOL!:laugh:

thompk- thanks for the great advice. I love te cabas shape, but cant stand the huge CC's onit (I never was a chanel fan. I apreciate the quality, but my grandmother used to carry them, so I alsways feel old in them however modern the shape. it looks great on others tough, i do admit that).

I am considering the Mahala in emrald green. Gorgeous.
