I think it would be a lovely edition. I notice you like color so I could see you with something bright and beautiful! I love the traveler and have been slowly getting rid of my hamilton's (except my coveted violet, and possibly my crocodile I think I will contact MK to get the smaller locks and see how it looks on the hamilton) and replacing with the traveler. I love that the lock is smaller, and to me it screams sophistication, I hope it comes in some other colors soon!

You might actually like it. It has a zipper like the Selma and is soft leather like the Miranda and has a lock and belt like the Hamilton...all bags that I know you own.

AWW this is such a bummer, the price went back to $298 -.-" I was planning to purchase it but the price went back up, after 25% off and tax it will be $240, oh well i think i can wait on this, since macys always lower the price. Do you know anywhere else that can i get it for under $200? I think i heard someone said MK store sold for $200 during veteran days if i remember correctly? Anyway I'll check my local MK store if they have and will be selling it cheaper than Macys.
I saw macys had the travelers during spring and at first but i didn't find it appealing at all because of the supple leather but after reading post and seeing pictures on tPf it starting to grow on me

It's on sale almost everywhere...MK website still has luggage for $199.
Has anyone noticed how EASY the traveler lock gets scratches yet?? I put clear scotch tape on the little gooseneck of my lock. The first time I carried it, I had scratches. In the mk store the SA pulled one from the back, still in its paper and the lock and plate looked awful. My hamilton locks are not this scratch prone. My oldest hammie is a gray croc studded n/s and is used quite often and really has no wear on the lock or plate. Maybe they are using thinner metal on the traveler. Just my 2 cents.
None of my locks are scratched, sorry to hear that.

I'm not in the market for a Hamilton Traveler, but good to know about the MK ordering issues. That's terrible that they keep canceling orders.
You might try smartphone screen protectors, instead. They seem to be a bit more durable than scotch tape at preventing scratches on the hardware. I put the screen protectors on my Hamiltons and Mirandas.
Ubo22 I have added ipad screen to all my hamilton plates and they are perfect but I just could not get it to work on that tiny lock. I got frustrated and added a very small piece of clear tap and so far so good. I think the metal is thinner because of the size of the lock/plate and handbag itself, they don't want to add additional weight to the bag by using the same method. A lot of people complained on here about it if I recall. I want heavy metal.....
Hmmm. Well at least the scotch tape is holding up. I never realized until more recent posts that the Hamilton Traveler lock and plate is smaller than the regular Hamilton lock and plate. Interesting.
I haven't had a scratching problem on the locks on my travelers yet. Have you tried swapping out the lock from your regular hamilton and trying it on the traveler? I'd be curious to know if it fits.
