New Gucci packaging

I am curious to whether they have changed the boxes, as well as the paper bags?
I know the previous boxes were a bit flimsy for my taste.

Yes I agree about the boxes, I couldn't keep any of them because they lost their shape. However I love Louis Vuitton boxes and Chanel boxes hold up well too and yes the boxes match the bags.

Yeah I totally agree that the packaging isn't as luxurious. I didn't know they changed their packaging until recently when I bought a pink zip card holder. Initially, I thought the white box was just the box they store it in the back storage. When they packaged it with the white paperbag, I realized that's their new packaging lol. I didn't think too much until my fiancé noticed how it has changed. The new packaging kind of reminds me of clothing store bags with the black border. I definitely prefer the older packaging but I don't hate hate the new one haha.

I think its a mistake to change the iconic GG print. I went bought a blush and was disappointed when she handed the bag to me and it actually took away the good feeling I usually get when I buy Gucci.

I agree. I was disappointed when I received the new boxes on my last order. It looks like something from an outlet. My last few purchases from Gucci.com have had lackluster packaging in all aspects. The only reason I`ll keep buying there is because Gucci.com has no sales tax in my state.

It puts me in the mind of the hideous Miu Miu packaging. I mean, seriously, I want more than a black canvas and a logo in uninspired font. And what is the deal with the dust bags? They look like something the fakes would put together. 😖

i originally thought this was special bag just for sale products, as i first started seeing it around the end of year sale time. Usually they are made or look "cheaper" if that makes sense. I don't like this look either, very generic.

I went to Louis Vuitton today and bought a lot of wonderful things. But I had to go to Gucci because their shoes are just my favorite! So I picked up a pair of the Princetown Sleepers with the elastic band. Gorgeous!

I had not shopped at Gucci since December and so I was shocked at the hideous white dustbags... The fabric looks super cheap (like supermarket lingerie) and - maybe more importantly - it's going to look dirty fast!
I am going to miss the older style dustbags. Why do they keep changing dustbags so often??

I think someone else mentioned the cheap white dust bags on here before, and it has something to do with Gucci trying to be more environmentally friendly (or something like that).

Great shoes! Congrats! I'm in agreement about Gucci shoes! Most of my shoes are Gucci and they are amazing!

me too! The SA wouldn't shut up about the new packaging and the new found popularity of the brand! I bet they are told to "educate" the customer. I still can't stomach these ugly wrinkly white dustbags.

I've bought 3 pairs of shoes since AM became CD: the Amstel Clogs and the Jordaan loafers both still had the old packaging, only this last pair was the first in the new packaging. I have a feeling Gucci haven't finished refining yet .
