Yes, correct. The manager herself told me that the original $50 feather fob will be for sale starting this wednesday. The store will not take orders before wednesday, so, call back on wednesday. Their phone # is 1-310-247-1309, 10 am-6 pm pacific standard time.

Just called and was told they are not for sale .. they are a gift with purchase only .. :(
 
That's a bummer. I was hoping tpf'ers would be able to get one if they wanted one.

Maybe flik can call the manager and ask why she was told that if it wasn't true....

I just got off the phone with one of the managers. He told me that what I was originally told was incorrect. The fob is only a gift with selected purchases & that they are now all gone! I asked him why I was then told this information from his employees. His only reply to me was that "this issue was addressed at the store meeting this morning & the feather fobs are not for sale". Boy, am I embarrassed. To all Coachie TPFers out there, I want to apologize for this snafu. I am truly sorry to have relayed erroneous information & gotten your hopes up. Bummer.
 
I think this whole feather fob thing has turned a lot of people off the Stuart Vevers line. They had a great launch gift and they blew it. I remember when Coach launched Poppy they had give a ways, not as nice as the feather but it drew people into the store and created excitement about the collection. Sorry if I sound bitter but I look forward to seeing all these bags in mass deeply discounted on FOS. I know we will at least see the small Ryder satchels there

Definitely not your fault Flik :) This was the fault of corporate from the get go - when the launched the SV collection. It was never fair to offer these to Asian markets and not others
 
I am just glad I did not miss out again ghis time. I would of just hated if someone beat me to one just to sale them. I hope that is not what happened. I mean not to talk bad about the employees but I hope someone is not keeping them just to sell them.
Snoopy still breaks my heart. :( . Oh well. I still have my poppy pencils. Lol.

That's not your fault, hun! :hugs:You were nice enough to take the time to come here to post something helpful to other members who missed out on the fob. I've posted incorrect info before too trying to help when it turned out to be totally incorrect...a lot of us here have at some point! It's not your fault that Coach can't get their cr*p together and everyone on the same page! This is how it all started to begin with... JAX was selling the feather fobs that should have been held back for GWPs and apparently they didn't get the memo! It's the same song, millionth verse with this company! There's always a break in the communication chain somewhere, and you always find different stores, etc, doing different things when they claim they have one policy. I've stopped trying to understand why this company cannot train ALL of the employees and get ALL of their stores and JAX CS on the same page. It's like they are successful despite themselves! Honestly, in all the time I've been here, I find myself periodically saying that there is nothing consistent about Coach but their inconsistencies! :tdown:

Don't feel bad; you can't help it if you were given bad information. Seems like we ALL get different stories from Coach. (It's too bad that you were promoting that store and trying to help with their business only to be embarrassed.)
