New Date Stamp?

My SA surprised me with a Chinese New Year gift! A K28 gold sellier Kelly with palladium hardware. Was looking for the date stamp but couldn’t find it in the usual places but found this instead? Is it new?

That’s the normal location for the date stamp. Yours is B 2023.

Thank you! I must going senile cause it’s the same location as on my other kellys. Do you happen to know what the other letters after B mean?

Congrats on the new bag! The date stamp location shown is the current standard as of around AW 2015. The five letters/numbers following the “B” (2023) production year stamp are an internal code known only to Hermès. The two small letters directly under this code denote the craftsperson or craftspeople who constructed the bag.
