I like the Mia satchels, and love that bordeaux color. The red "pony" hair (actually calf hair) turnlock hobo they have coming this august is totally TDF. Too bad it's like $800. I'd give my left boob for a matching zip wallet with brass hardware, though.
ohhh no their making a wallet in that? please tell its a huge one and not a cute little compact one..

No, I don't think they are, that's the problem. I'd love one, but Coach just never seems to make *exactly* the wallet I want, only something not quite there . . . if they do end up making one, though, I hope it's a huge accordion clutch, which I will gladly pay hundreds for. Well, up to $300, because above that I might as well suck it up and buy MJ. Anyhoo, I'm going to the store on Friday to check out the new Chelsea hobos and pony hair stuff. If my local boutique doesn't have those lines, I'm making a trip to the flagship store downtown next week for sure! I also want to see that suede Mia in person, I'd be worried about the color coming off the suede.

I have a suede soft duffle in that exact colour (bordeaux) and it's held up quite well. I don't baby it at all. I used it almost every day last fall and spring, tossed it on the floor of the car, etc. and it's doing okay. The colour has never transferred or anything. It has gotten quite grubby but because it's dark, it's not as noticeable as on one of the light suede bags. You can kind of see in the picture that it's a bit dirty on the bottom corners and on the edge of the flap. I've even used it in the rain - not a downpour, mind you, but drizzle and it's fine.

However, that being said, I doubt I'd buy another suede bag now that I know how dirty they get and I definitely wouldn't spend almost $500 on one. I  that Mia satchel, though...oh well...:crybaby: .

Semi-OT: FWIW, I have never had any problems with Coach suede, and I have quite a bit of it. But then, I've never bought any suede color lighter than lilac, either, and I do my best never to set my bag on any surface that doesn't look clean.
