I have a PS 1 and I recently acquired a Chanel bag (buying a bag from a Chanel store is quite a wonderful experience). My PS1 is great for travel and casual use. The Chanel bag, if I'm being honest, will only be used for dinners and other 'safe' excursions. It was a bit of an HG for me, but at the same time it won't be an everyday bag. I am just too worried about something happening to it. Obviously not everyone feels this way, but you need to really examine what you will be comfortable with and what you will get the most use out of. I've spent a lot of money on bags I used once to now know what I really want/will use.
I know they have been around forever now, but I find myself mostly turning to my Balenciaga Moto bags. They are lightweight, can be dressed up or down (depending on the color) and have a large selection of color choices. That is just me though. You need to figure out which style, color, leather and brand will work best for you. Good luck and keep us posted!
