new bag - a classic?

I just got word that the bag has shipped! I haven't been this excited about a bag in a long time (this is a good sign that I've chosen well, I think). I'll have to post a picture when it shows up!

So glad to read about your new bag. I've been thinking about getting another Stella (among all the other bags that I want to get), but with the original not pushlock hardware. Do you have a mix of both, or do you only have Stellas in the original buckle form?

I have both. My black Stella is a pushlock stella with brushed nickle hardware, and contrasting stitching. Great basic bag, I think.

They had both the white and black Stella re-issues available on both BG and NM last week, and I thought if I really liked the white, I'd get a black one too, but now they seem to be sold out of the black. :evil:

Pseub, they had pictures of both, but have been sold out of the black for a while, I think, because if you tried the pulldown menu, you only got "antique white" as an option. I've been cyber stalking the reissue for a while before I finally ordered it.

OK, youngprof, you've turned me into a Stella fan! I now have a white one on order, should be here by this weekend. Now I'm going to have to start combing ebay for some of those other colors....

Stella's only available online right? I haven't seen it at my local Nordstrom, NM, Saks, Bloomingdale's, Barney's; I would like to try it on in person first.
