I think that turtledove color looks great on you. I think you have cool tone skin tone. I'm deciding on a Montsouris in black or turtledove (so similar dilemma), but on a backpack I'd go with black. Whereas on a tote, perhaps turtledove.

I would say go for the black one if you haven’t bought it yet. I bought mine in April and was planning to wear mine last week and noticed this discoloration on my bag. They said it was defective but seems this is happening to several others. I ended up exchanging mine for the black one.

how long did you have your purse before this started. I wondered if Louis Vuitton would exchange if this happened in the future. Did they charge you anything?
I bought mine in April and noticed the defect in august. My SA was amazing to help me with this and exchanged it with no issues even after the 30 day exchange policy. Just make sure to work with an SA that you trust that can help you
I have the black and love it - although the turtledove is a beautiful color. I even looked at the cream one when it first was released last March (seasonal/limited edition) but the SAs warned me away from it. I have had it since last March and no wear on the edges. You might want to google color change/yellowing on the turtledove, it seemed there was a bad batch last year that yellowed along the seams where things get glued....hopefully now fixed
Just want to chime in to the extent it’s helpful for anyone looking at this thread that I bought the turtledove NF back in March (I think? Whenever it was just released) and I use it as my daily work bag and travel bag, and it still looks pristine. I love it! I wear it with jeans, black pants, shove it under plane seats - and it still looks pristine! I noticed some black markings on the bottom (likely from said rough traveling) but they wiped right off with a damp cloth. I think the empriente leather can really take a beating even in this lighter grey color. Also no yellowing issues here!
Love the turtledove color! It's still neutral and will go with anything.
