NM seems to very conveniently forget to double the points on these events

I have had to make several phone calls for this issue that they
have overlooked .

I am also waiting for a gift card.. They are very slow in mailing these out

They wrote back saying that my issue has been given to the "executive services department" for investigation.

It's a good thing that I printed out the receipt when ordering, the GC email ad, and the item in question that was the doubling item. :graucho:

Thanks for this! I feel like I've been waiting forever for my giftcard...hope they double it up! Had a horrendous encounter ordering it in the first place! Blah! Hope their online shopping gets better fast...

I was informed from Neiman Marcus that they won't be "doubling" my gift card from the March promo because according to their Executive Promo Dept "scarfs are considered accessories and not apparel" even though the scarf was clearly listed as a qualifying item for the April BET2GET promo.

All of you who partake in the NM promo's -- particularly the "doubling" ones -- make sure you print out the item page AND your check out receipt (not the one they email you), and be sure to have a print out of all qualifying items.

I would fight this but I didn't print out the item page for the scarf for the March Promo, the one shown here is for the same scarf that I bought and identical promo for April including the same code, so perhaps it didn't qualify for the promo in March? I really don't see why or how that's possible since it was a qualifying item for the next promo and when I ordered I made sure that both items were listed as part of the "BET2GET" promo in March, but since i have no proof now, I can't claim it because NM is saying no and that the scarf didn't qualify.

I'm really reconsidering my consumer relationship with Neiman Marcus because along with this, the last time I ordered something I had issues with their ordering department.

Although I love being able to save (in theory) with the gift card promos at NM, I'm not happy with this.

Just wanted to rant a little and let all you guys and gals know what happened. And also to tell you to print the item's product info page when ordering from NM in case they try do the same thing to you.

An update to that saga, a NM rep did email me back because I wrote them an email to complain about this. They did give me a 20% discount on the scarf, but still said, despite the web page, that scarfs are considered accessories and NOT apparel.

At least they try to do something nice so they get points for that.
