Neewbie NEEP HELP~looking for a small diamond ring

For a .25ct stone, I agree that SI clarity would be fine. A small stone doesn't show color as easily as a larger stone does, and IMHO a D color is not necessary. I would instead prefer to spend more money on the cut, so you get the sparkliest diamond possible. A great cut will make color and clarity look better than it really is. I think a G or even H color is white enough to the naked eye if you are able to spend the money you save on an ideal cut diamond.

Anyone have pics of their "small" diamond rings? the engagement ring thread is full of carats if you know what i mean

Would love to see pics of your diamonds, maybe i'll try to post a pic of mine later... don't have a camera here.

hi ladies..
this is my first time to consider to buy a diamond ring for myself, and i need your help...
i am looking for a small ring...under .35 CT..since this is not a engage ring...i think i only need something small but pretty:p
i went to Tiffany to ask about the price...it come out around 1500 for a good color but small CT. :sweatdrop:

$1500 is outragious. I'm sad that they would charge that much for a simple band and stone.

At .35ct or less, SI and F-I color would be fine for you. IMHO. And don't worry so much about the band size because that is really easy to change. :smile1:

JAPSTER, i have PM you :p

if anybody would like to share your pic, its very helpful
i went to blue nile web, and select something i like with ideal cut, FG color, SI clarity and roung shape..which come out 650...i am thinking about getting it:angel: but i also love to order from japster's website...if theres a similar one...

hope i can get one soon...

again....ladies thanks a lot for your help!!!

Here's a few pics of my ring.. Hope they came out good, first with flash, second one without.

The ring is white gold with a 0.05 TWvvs diamond (don't really know how it corresponds to your standards...)
