Wah, really? I just dropped off one and thought they would give me a box... Do you think I can ask for a dust bag? I think I misplaced it when I was travelling... :crybaby:

I have no clue, but it sure wouldn't hurt to ask. I could see them having dustbags around more than extra boxes.

As far as getting the boxes, I suspect eBay is the only way. I see scarf boxes quite a bit, but rarely any other boxes. Good luck with your search...

Look at local high end consignment stores that specializes in reselling hermes. They should have alot of boxes. The one near me has tons, they're not cheap tho, about $150 each!

I've seen a couple of Birkin size boxes from German sellers on Ebay recently so you might be able to score one (or two) there. They tend to be quite pricey though as expensive to ship owing to their size.

That's a lot of large H boxes - I think EK gives you some great advice to post in the MP. Your grandmother sounds like she has great taste ~ and it is so lucky you will benefit! What colors and leathers are the 40cm bags? I have seen them IRL, and they would be wonderful for travel!

I know you're excited, but I don't store my H bags in their boxes, either.

I keep them if I need to resale one day, but I created padded soft pillow boxes that go decoratively on the shelf, so I can see them. It helps.

When my bags came back from the spa, it just came back in a plastic bag, there was no box or dustbag :(. I tried asking my SA, but he said they didnt have any extra ones.

I have never heard of H stores giving away new orange boxes for bags after a cleaning or repair.

I think the practice of giving away new dustbags is also something that is practised predominantly in the US and maybe Europe too (can't remember). It's not done in Singapore. I actually like it this way. Else these bags may somehow fall into the hands of scammers.

Me too! I sent one of my bags for spa last year, there is nothing.
No box, no dustbag, no stuffing. :shrugs:

I guess no harm calling the Hermes store to find out. Send them all for spa treatment as well and at the same time chat to the shop manager to see if you can at least get one. Explain that it's an inheritance.

Probably the best bet would be to contact H directly...although I think it would be tough though b/c most H lovers won't part with theirs, then there is the problem of people selling counterfeit bags but obtaining authentic boxes for the counterfeit item. Even many of the boxes sold as authentic on Ebay are fake...it's a big problem.

Good luck...

^^ I think it is really not easy getting orange boxes from H stores. Who knows where these boxes will land up? So there is definitely control. At my H store, even dustbags and scarf knotting cards are controlled items.
