That's because I do not like keeping it open. The sangles are a pain. This applies to all Kellys for me. If you love it enough, it's worth the work. (I deal with my 2 Kelly Danses all the time and I'm fine with 'em because I love those)

I don't think you can really keep a Kelly open when it has a decent amount of stuff in it. It's like a gaping alligator. I also have put off getting a Kelly but own 4 Bs and love them all :) they're totes meant to be open.
