Need help choosing! Rolex Datejust or Yachtmaster?

OUCH! I can assure you that the yacht master can not be purchased at sears...
I guess it depend on your other watches to me. I have the yatchmaster in midsize and get comp,iments on it whenever I wear it. It is a casual watch though. I have the chopard happy sport with diamond bezel for dressy and also have the yg rolex 36mm date just when I feel like wearing yg.
Will this be your go to day to day watch? Any others that you have that you would be switching off with?
datejust...much more versatile IMO. i was in the same boat debating between yachtmaster or datejust and after trying them both on several times, the datejust won b/c of its beauty and versatility. good luck!
Have you tried them both in person? Usually it becomes very clear what you're drawn to when they're on the wrist. I would choose in terms of what absolutely sings to you.
If you don't feel that way about either one, don't buy yet. But if you do have that feeling, you'll know which to get.
That said, there's no doubt the Datejust is the more versatile choice. I adore it, and the one you're thinking about is a knockout, but there are people who love the YM just as much. (If this had a poll I'd pick the DJ.)

I guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the Yachtmaster. Okay, I'm partial since I hae one and love. Yes, its more sporty and casual, but its a great everyday watch. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Good luck.
Datejust, hands down. I have two of them and they are always my go-to watch although I love my VCA watches too, just not as versatile. You can never go wrong with a Rolex and classic is always better, IMO. Good luck!
