If Birkins are so hard to come by and resellers are able to command higher prices;why would anyone have to take a loss on their bag???? I thought an authentic bag would hold or increase in value?

This is true. However, a bag is only worth so much as somebody pays for it. For some reason (I don't know why) Dumby's bag didn't sell. I think when you HAVE to sell, and quickly, taking a loss is an option you must look at. That's one of the reasons why selling Birkins is such a tricky business.

It is HARD to sell Hermes on eBay if you're not an established seller of luxury items (and specifically Hermes). It's a challenge to avoid messing up one of eBay's gazillions of rules and getting the listing pulled, your auction rights restricted, or suspended. It's a fat lot of work and it can be frustrating. Not to mention the fraud risk on the buyer side as well--it's not just dishonest sellers out there, there are also dishonest buyers.

This thread REALLY sounds like it is getting into buying and selling.

No one may discuss their items for sale and no one may ask or request info on items for sale via PM.
