Thank you! Come to find out it's a "Hearts on fire" diamond!! Thank god I didn't say anything, I guess this cost more than my 2 carat diamond studs! Wtf! I'm going to kill him! I don't know what he was thinking!!

^LOL, don't worry about what he was thinking...just enjoy the lovely new necklace! I'm glad you ended up falling in love with it; it really is gorgeous!

Glad this has ended well for you. I do have an idea if you want a "chunkier" piece in the future. Just get the chain replaced to something much thicker. A good jeweler will be able to reset the piece inside a thicker chain. That may give you the look you like. Also, having an HOF is really special so congratulations on your anniversary and your choice of a sentimental jewelry buying man!

My hubby just gave me a beautiful white gold and diamond necklace for out 10 year anniversary. I feel like he spent a lot of money on it and he could have got me David yurman or a Michelle diamond watch or a tag. He feels David yurman is too over priced for silver and not special enough for a 10 year anniversary gift. Am I being ungrateful? He doesn't know I feel this way. Should I say something or keep my mouth shut, here is a picture View attachment 2211655
I had a male friend tell me that he didn't like buying his wife gifts because they were never really "right". If you dropped hints but he still gave you something else, I'd accept his choice happily. There will be other occasions for him to get the hints.

You're right, next time I will either show him a picture or be very specific, or just get it myself! Lmao!
