The first two pics are a perfect representation of saddle (my new saddle city). Photos of saddle with more orange tones do not depict it properly. It is a beautiful vintagey brown. The last photo is with flash under bright bathroom lighting. This is how most pics of saddle look on the forum but saddle is not that orange.

From photos, automne appears to have more honey tones.

roey, congrats on your new saddle! I'm so glad you said the colour's more like the first two pics. I love the colour! I love the automne too so I'm quite happy to have either.

Thanks saff! I love both colors too. Saddle is exactly like my first two pics. I think automne has less brown in it but other than that they are close and I'd be happy with either (or one of each!).

****** has a automne city listed that doesn't seem to have any orange undertones... I really hope there are bags out there that are the shade of oogies PT or recoloureds CP...

From what I've noticed of hgbag's auctions, her photos seem to depict certain colors darker than they are IRL. There is less red/orange in automne than saddle but automne is still very close in color. This info is from a tPF friend of mine who had the chance to compare the two colors side by side and really didn't see a huge difference (on those two bags anyway).

I agree Automne is more honey-toned than Saddle. I think it also looks more vintage-looking than Saddle. I think Automne will age beautifully, and if the color does fade a bit over time, might look close to 05 Camel.

sep, automne does have more orange tones. its indeed a rich brown with honey hue. likely erica took her photos under a dark lighting, thus the color.
I went to the local bal boutique here in singapore, and it looks exactly like roussel's work. (picture). I bought another something in automne, and will post pictures when its here as soon as i recieve it! Lovin' automne :)

The Automne color is exactly like in Viki's pictures, so definitely darker than the pic I posted. I also saw Framboise, Blue Layette, Mandarin and Praline. Of all the new bags I saw, I liked the Framboise city RH, the Praline First, Automne city RH and most of all the Mandarin GSH wallet (I really like this and will definitely get one when I can). The praline first I saw is a bit darker than the Praline city next to it, so I really like that darker Praline city. I also saw 2 of the woven city bags, one with the praline trim, and one with the navy trim (which I think is officier). I tried to compare the navy/officier woven bag to the marine bags and officier has more violet tones which is prettier IMO. Interesting how the woven bags have so many pretty colors, magenta, mandarin, a darker praline more like sandstone, and a pretty green just like apple green (wish they make a bag out of this color soon).

Great information, thank you. Did you think that Officer was a little closer to Ink maybe???
I also wonder if the woven bags are just woven from tassels and if they will split on the bag?:nuts:
