Need advice for my damaged neverfull.

Handbag Clinic is based in the UK, but they talk on their website about taking in repairs "from abroad"... they might be worth contacting, if only to see whether another designer handbag specific repairer might be able to offer a different option to the one suggested by PurseRehab...

On ebay, they have "base shapers" for the Neverfull, which would be a temporary fix to stop things poking at the hole - although they may not come up high enough. (The people who sell them likely also manufacture them, so may be worth asking if they can do one in thicker perspex to come up to where the hole is). There are also Neverfull liners in all sorts of different materials on there. You might find something you like to use until you decide how to make a more full time repair.

Sorry this happened to you - so annoying! Last time I travelled, my checked Rimowa (an older one - so a bit more resilient than the ones since LVMH bought them!) had two wheels torn off through bad handling. So frustrating, isn't it?!

I would try and find some scrap canvas, unstitch the lining near that spot and use the canvas as a patch on the inside. I know you can get leather glue that is flexible so hopefully there is a flexible glue for the canvas.

@cray-z-lady Really sad to see this happen to your lovely Neverfull during airport screening. I hope that you still continue to love your handbag.

I've recently travelled with my Neverfull and what I do, is cover it with a dustbag (not necessarily LV dustbag) before I place it inside the tray for the screening machine. Any liquids are taken out and placed outside on top of the dustbag and bag in a clear ziplock. Also prevents my various items from spilling out into the tray.

Then I take off the dustbag once I've cleared security, and flip the dustbag inside out (so that the dirty part is facing inwards) and just roll it up and secure with a rubber band.

I do the same (cover handbag with dustbag) before stuffing my Neverfull under the airplane seat in front of me.

Have always travelled this way with other handbags too... just bring a dustbag. :)

Do you know some company that does reputable repairs to LV?

I’m not sure if it’s possible but I would have them take the bottom off, trim the length off to right above the hole and reattach bottom.
I know of two places that do repairs that are not LV but do great work that you can't tell.
Traveling Bags in Wisconsin ( That's me ) and Rago Brothers in New Jersey.
