Need advice for my damaged neverfull.

I have a less than 6 month old Neverfull. It seems that, going through Airport TSA screening, it was damaged. There is a nick in the canvas, towards the bottom of the bag. Devastated. I've taken it into a LV store to be told, there is nothing they can do. Can't be repaired. It's a small nick, but the lining is exposed. A pen or anything could poke right through it. I've taken it to a cobbler, he added a touch of leather paint for the time being. The only thing I can even think of doing is adding a patch to it. Like sewing a decorative patch to the outside of it, which then changes the entire essence of the bag. What would you do? Any advice is appreciated.

Could you take a piece of canvas and glue it in the spot to blend it in? It may not look perfect but less noticeable and you can carry that side toward your body...There are places that sell authentic up cycled canvas...Otherwise maybe get an artist to paint a design on that side or by the spot..Im So sorry this happened. I know it’s frustrating!!!

I could but I’m actually concerned about the weakness in that spot. Things pushing through. It’s just a thin piece of lining right there. The paint the cobbler added- made it basically blend in. But I want to make the area strong. Le sigh.

You could always use a bag organizer and that way things wont damage that area. can you put a piece of fabric on the inside of the bag to reinforce the area?

Do you have a picture of what it looks like now?

I think LVlvoe_bug's suggestion is a good one! A purse organizer will definitely help.

So, so sorry this happened to you. What a shame.

Do you know some company that does reputable repairs to LV?

I’m not sure if it’s possible but I would have them take the bottom off, trim the length off to right above the hole and reattach bottom.

Sorry this happened to you. I have no idea neverfull or LV canvas can be like this. I always thought they are pretty strong tote. Thank you for sharing. I will be more careful with my bag. I hope you can find a solution.

I did complain. This is the canvas they cover luggage in. They basically said I mistreated it and they couldn’t help me- and the next sentence was “we look forward to continuing to exceed your expectations”.
