I love this foundation. I have oily skin in the Tzone but I use setting powder and blot in the afternoon with blotting paper. I have tried quite a few foundations. I was using MUFE before- both the HD and the Face and Body. I loved them but found HD was too matte and heavy and Face and Body was too dewey and wet looking. Nars Sheer Glow is the perfect middle ground. It is light but pretty good coverage in less layers than the MUFE face and body, it is not as heavy as the MUFE HD and it is glowy without being as shiny as the Face and Body. I love it!

I also really like the Armani luminous silk. I have tried it numerous times in testers but the price has prevented me from buying it.

I have about 5 different bottles of foundation open right now and I ALWAYS come back to sheer glow. I'm a perfect match for cadiz. I love how it wears... all day, I don't get oily and it looks flawless.

I just made the "switch" from Bobbi Brown to the Nars sheer glow, and LOVE it! I was using the BB natural finish, which was ok, it just didn't provide enough coverage. The NARS description on Sephora says its sheer, but honestly, I get medium to full coverage with it! It makes my skin look amazing..I have oily/combination skin so I usually stay away from foundations that have words like glow in them, but this stayed on all day (with the NARS primer) with hardly any powder touch ups. Cant say enough about how great this foundation is!!!

I LOVE the finish that Nars Sheer Glow gives me. But... after a couple of hours, it gives my skin an oily appearance (even though I have normal/dry skin), doesn't wear that long, and it clings on to any dry patches I have (and dry patches that I didn't even know existed) like crazy! No matter how much I moisturize. I don't even go near this foundation in the winter, when my skin is at its driest. And I know it's the foundation and not just me because my Revlon Colorstay applied just fine, but any time I try the NARS SG it sticks right to the dry patches. But ironically, it makes me oily too-which never happens to me, because I almost never have problems with my skin being oily. For the first time, I found myself having to blot. You can kind of feel the oiliness too, when you're blending in the foundation with your fingers. Between the short wear, oily appearance, and highlighting dryness, it's not my favorite foundation, though the finish is lovely. I'll stick to wearing it in the spring when my skin isn't as dry, but it might be too oily to use in the summer. Sigh. :shrugs:

^^^Bummer it's not working for you. I'm still using my Sheer Matte and hoping to buy the SG for the winter. But... I'm now worried about the clinging to dry patches you've mentioned.

If you have normal/oily skin, it might not be a problem at all. But because my skin leans towards normal/dry...eh. I've heard quite a few other reviews stating the same thing-it really accentuates dry patches that other foundations don't seem to pick up on. Who knows, maybe it'll work out better for you-maybe get a sample and try it out while it's winter?

I finally got around to comparing Bobbi's natural finish foundation, it gives a really nice look as with most of her foundations but it doesn't cover much of my hyperpigmentation so Nars' sheer glow is still the winner if you ask me. I am going to keep using my sample of natural finish until it runs out, I'll report back.

Had a really small sample which I liked... Plan on getting another sample sometime this week when I visit the PX if the NARS lady isn't stingy. You'd think she'd be a bit more accomodating since I not only purchased a lot of NARS products but I also brought quite a bit of new customers to her.

That drives me nuts, hope you get the samples you're after. Nothing worse than a stingy SA!

Went to the NARS counter @ the PX today and before I had a chance to ask for a sample the SA told me that her samples in my color were stolen..:weird::hrmm:. Well, I got another bottle of the Sheer Matte b/c I know it works for me. I may still purchase the Sheer Glow this weekend from Sephora.

:confused1: That's odd. At that point, wouldn't someone just steal the entire bottle of the Sheer Glow instead of samples? Lol, strange. Hope you get to try it out soon!
