My cousin got me one for my birthday last year. Not quite a fan of it. Plus I am not quite sure if people will understand it is my name. He used my middle name: Chika (means God is great) but I'm sure those that are not familiar with my culture would assume it is Girl in spanish or something. i need to readjust the chain length before i even contemplate wearing it anyways.
Mine is also my middle name. Its Egyptian so many people either can't pronounce it or thinks it says Nefertiti lol. I say rock it regardless!

I have always been obsessed with nameplate necklaces! Growing up in an inner city neighborhood they've always been around (all the Jewish and AA girls in my neighborhood had one) but of course they hit mainstream when the 'Carrie necklace' arrived and today I see them returning from Beyonce's 'Blue' chain to Kanye West's 'Yeezi' one.
