My SA said my profile is "orange" now and only RTW can be bought.

I am in the similar plight as you - CA giving me b@llsh1t.
The website stating not being able to buy 12 items in a span of 12 months is also reflected in Singapore’s LV T&C too. I did an actually count, I have actually reached the limit because my husband has decidedly bought items for himself under my account because he was lazy to create one.
Strangely, the Client Service (website/phone) did not impose any “ban” on me of any kind as they even offered to reserved a recently popular bag, Diane, for me when it was available and I have successfully bought it. So I don’t think they impose this T&C very strictly.

However, my usual CA was pissed with me and said sarcastically that I should just do everything online, even repairs (but website / phone don’t handle repairs). To be honest, he didn’t want to order the speedy 20 last year stating that it’s very long queue and it’s impossible to be on the waitlist. Then when I asked about the Diane, he also didn’t felt like entertaining me and just brushed me off like it’s not a wise choice. So, could you understand why I didn’t bother asking him to reserve the bag for me? When I enquired on the phone, they said the waitlist was long but they could most definitely put me on the list.
These store CA act like they are some big shot of selectively “helping” you and choose not to help if it’s too troublesome.
well, to be honest, he is not the only CA around and if he continues to give me such attitude, I’m more than happy to switch to someone else. Website/online CS are more helpful than these store CAs. There’s also CAs on Instagram that are in the same store as him which I can most definitely reach out as well. Will see how he fare for his assistance for repair before I decide to stick to him or not.
Just an FYI. You can do repairs through the LV app. It’s really easy, and the process is pretty streamlined.

OP, I'm so sorry this happened.

I haven't bought brand new from LV in almost 6-7 years, but this just seems so stupid. Let people buy whatever they want whenever they want. All these bells and whistles are so annoying.

Leave the SA. Ditch them. They don't deserve your money. Perhaps take a break and start fresh at another store or with another SA.

Yellow is excessive spend one category and orange is multiple categories. Red is banned.

Hi, thanks for your insights and seems like you worked/have been working for LV as you are very knowledgable :smartass:with the "traffic light" system.

I have not lied about my purchase history in front of every CA I come across, and for the last 7 months the money I put in RTW and leather goods is about 3:1 in ratio. So it is very confusing with the orange ban when I have obviously purchased RTW significantly more than leather goods. Well.. Should've banned me from buying RTW first that would have been more fair.

The important question is, is that mean the CA have all the rights to ban me and I have to stick with him forever? And just curious, is this orange yellow alert put on manually or automatically? TIA!

THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone for taking your time to leave me message(s).

I am overwhelmed by kindness:love: I have never thought of shopping can be so frustrated. As I have mentioned, I have started buying from LV website and other store because I don't want to deal with him anymore. It is indeed a toxic relationship (oh gosh) as some of you have said. I never thought I would need to question myself what have I done wrong and whether I can/should buy from LV again after all these stress and being treated like an ATM.

It is annoying. It is frustrating. And please after reading my stories, STAY STAY STAY away from pushy CAs. At the moment I am still thinking how to get rid of this person.

Hi everyone, sorry long store, but I just want to know if anyone had the same experience.

I would like to start with my LV profile. I don't normally stick with one SA for a long time, I used to shop only when I travelled. Over many years, I bought trunks, hat boxes, bags so and so. It was a common sense/experience to me when you buy e.g. trunks and RTW together, LV is more lenient on putting leather goods limit on clients. Still, I never purchasd the same leather goods twice.

Since covid I have to stay in the UK most of the time and therefore there is one SA that I have stayed contact with since last year. I have been with this SA for about 7 months and I bought like 7 jackets and few sweaters (I also bought for my partner) from him. That is a considerable amount of money. He never offered to get rare leather goods and I was always the one who asked him if he can preorder "bag". I have missed out many items (e.g. pink denim nano speedy, new nano speedy). So I only be able to buy leather goods from him if those are easy to get (e.g items in store, can purchase from LV website usually). Because he basically cannot reserve any rare bags for me. I have to buy leather goods in LV website.

So for the last few months I have purchased two bags from LV website. He found it out and warned me I would get banned from LV if I continue to do that. He emphasised that I have to purchase everything from him as LV has limit on everyone and he has been carefully monitoring this for me. Last month I went to italy and purchased more items such as four hats and mini leather bracelets e.g. palm springs bracelet and bumbag bracelet. Because I stayed for a week the SA in Italy messaged me and offered me a ONTHEGO mm bag which I accepted. I have never hide my profile and the SA in Italy fully acknowledged my purchase history. I know it sounds like I bought so many bags but I hadn't purchased a bag for the full 2020 and three bags in 2021.

Few days ago, my SA told me that my profile is orange now and can no longer purchase leather goods but RTW. If I continue to buy thing from someone else I will get red listed. Then he said he will help me by communicating with management. I found this really hard to believe. I am not saying I am a VIC and LV should allow me to buy so many leather goods. But he is just not offering much for me to stick with him and being so condescending all the time. So I am sceptical on believeing what he said. He is even taking credit from "unlocking" the account for me. Does anyone experenced something like this? TIA.

which store is this SA located?

The system automatically does it, SA’s or Store Managers definitely do not have any ability to add or take away flags in clients, however, managers can override yellow or orange for clients they know. It’s intention is to reduce reselling products. If the same client goes to a store that doesn’t know them, those stores are more likely to decline the transaction. This could possibly be the intention of the Advisor, regardless of how awful he or she communicated it to you. RTW is definitely more Lenient and less likely to flag, especially if sizing is consistent vs handbags and slg’s. I hope this helps!

Fortunately our SA has never done anything that needed reporting (other than being quite unresponsive at times). But if such a scenario happened to me I'm definitely going to pursue it via Corporate to at least clarify matters.

Sucks that your SA is giving such bad attitude to you and I would definitely recommend changing out your SA! We have so many to choose from here in Singapore anyway.
I would love to find a sincere local CA that helps to put me on waitlist or pre-orders whether the items are canvas or leather. I read somewhere they only get commission from leather goods and canvas is only good for hitting their sales target… Hence, I’m guessing why my CA is reluctant to put me on any waiting list for the mono speedy 20 and diane (since both are canvas and he don’t really get any commissions, just trouble).
I don’t deny I’m also lazy to get to the store. It’s just convenient for now to just contact the CA for assistance.

If you are in UK and need help to find new nicer SA, you can check post and forum here, we are in EU and UK talk about everything on that forum and you can ask there, perhaps someone in UK have an SA to recommend. I personally stay in EU, so I only could recommend a few nice SA in my local boutique:amuse: Wish you a good luck in building your awesome LV Collection :hugs:

If you're approaching the limits as outlined in the policies, I'd hold off until the time period resets to buy anything (your CA sounds like they're power tripping enough to check your profile and have their manager turn it red if they given the opportunity), then find a new SA and store if you want to continue shopping at LV.

It would be a big if to me though, at least for awhile. My experiences with LV have been a mixed bag, but a customer should never feel obligated to stick with a CA. They should want to. When I have a good CA, I spend more and I mention it every time I get a survey. When I don't, I shop where I do have a good sales associate.
