welcome! you're among certified Vuitton addicts and obsessive-compulsives here  and i concur, Australia is probably only second to Japan when it comes to LV pricing

Gosh don't send me the certificate my DH will send me to rehab!!!! No he's cool with it.
Since our dollar has gotten stronger it's cheaper to get it overseas too.I've heard Japan is veryyy $$$$.Only been there once but that was when I was still a kid.

Aussies, i asked this before but noone replied, have yuo tried using the OROTON water repelant on your lv? becuase its a decent lower end designer label, im assuming their products would work on the nakes vachetta? im getting ym first bag in a month and was thinking of using that have you guys experenced it at all? what do you use?

i've never used any water repellent on any of my LVs. and remember, Oroton doesn't use or make vachetta leather. but i do massage it with e.v.olive oil to quicken the patina. and it somehow made the vachetta not only richly caramelized, but water just glides off it too. its a pretty extreme procedure, so tread with CAUTION. ;)

I just used good old Scotchguard (from supermarket)! Yep,everytime I buy a new bag I just pray the whole bag (leather/canvas). It's cheap and it works! (a 'trade secret' from my dry cleaner) No worries,it won't leave marks.(follow instruction and DO NOT oversaturate);)

In the time in lived there Japan went waaay expensive when the MC caught on, then the Yen crashed=price increase, New stores= more increase! Then Yen crashed again so they added a luxury tax of like 6%, but when I went home:cry: last Nov, if you have a foreign passport, your exempt from the tax! The economy over there not so good, so they are having more sales!!
