Here is mine...I got it for xmas 2003 from my mom.....I measured it, and it looks like it's the 20mm bean on an 18" chain

The 20mm bean looks great on you! Do you notice the weight?
Hum...not really... I guess I'm used to it? I love feeling the cold bean against my skin... It's a great piece to wear. It also always stays put, since its a little heavier.... To be honest, I had no idea it was the 20mm until I took it off and measured it yesterday.

I really like the big drop too, but I find that maybe it is too similiar to the bean...what do you ladies think?

Does anyone have the 9mm bean? I would love to see that!
my thoughts on the 9 and 12mm: they bend easily. the larger ones lay down and the smaller ones move a lot, especially on naked skin. I would not like it to flip and flop all day long whenever I do the slightest move. That's one more reason why I bought the slightly larger one.

The 20mm would be too large for me. To me some designs have their perfect size: a Rolex shoud not be small and a bean should not be larger than 16mm. My personal opinion if course!

Oh yes, and a diamond on a ring shouldn't be smaller than 0.5cw. :D

I guess the bean size all depends on your body size. For example, I'm tall and would say my body type is on the larger size. Not fat, but just bigger, I even have a big head that doesn't fit most hats...lol. I feel stupid carrying a small purse because I feel it makes me look bigger. My purses are always on the bigger side. So when it comes to jewlery, I feel bigger items go better with my frame. My gucci twirl watch is the wide one, my ring size is 6.5 on my ring finger, so I like big cocktail rings... and when it comes to tiffany necklaces, I like 18 inches, not 16.... and I usually go for bigger pendants, since I have a lot of space between by neck and my cleveage. I think they call that the decollette? It all depends on your body type and what looks good and in porportion with you!

Good ideas on jewelry size!

True! I agree with this!
