My fav sales associate in Toronto wears a gold one (small size I think) and it looks STUNNING on her! It's definitely a classic and easy to wear. Go for it!

Are the beans solid or are they hollow?

The gold one is hollow, but not thin. The chain passes through the bean so it can move.
They are quite weighty and I have no doubt that the bean is sturdy enough to make through lifetimes.
