You can absolutely size this ring, you must take it to a reputable jeweler though.

They will cut your ring, remove the stones, soder it back together, reset the stones, etc.
You should get the stones returned to you as well. I am not sure what someone would charge you for this service, but it can be done.

I had it done to three eternity bangles in a shared prong setting twice because I have tiny wrists. But, now I am designing my own line from this experience alone! It's tough having tiny fingers, isn't it? My wedding set is a size...gasp...3!

Maybe you can take it to where he bought it? If not visit a well established jeweler (not in a mall or a chain) and ask them. You may even be able to mail your repair/resizing to a reputable jeweler in another state if necessary.

Good luck, enjoy your bling.

Thank you! Our jeweler said he could size it so I'm just waiting to see how it feels on me. It's not always big. Our jeweler said he might be able to fix it on the spot too

Um, no. Reputable or not, the amount of work and risk that it won't be round anymore after that...it's cheaper and better to have it remade to size. Messing with the sizing on this thing other than maybe fix the stone you dislike even though it could cause issues with the prongs in that area, you'll screw up the whole flow and tension and you risk losing stones. If it fits when it's warm, leave it alone.

I completely agree. I was really specific with what I wanted with this ring and I don't want to mess with it. I'll probably mention that diamond when I have it cleaned but I don't want to mess with it. One day when I have another one made ill make sure they don't do the same thing again or I'll have that one fixed. This one I love no matter what.

That one can be the "bump in the road" of your relationship, since you guys said you had some kind of serious issue at some point (medical or whatever?) and you can use it as a representation of that.

If you do not wish to resize this ring, which you can successfully with it still staying round, may I suggest (if you like the stacked look) when you reach another milestone in your relationship you can have another ring sized smaller to wear on top. It would keep your ring from falling off - and you can build towards new beginnings!

Either way, it's beautiful, and looks lovely on your finger.
Wear it well with a positive outlook.

Warmly,
