It really is so sad about this store for all the staff who are all so lovely and for scotland , this has been such a profitable store for all these many years , very sad when someone takes over and things are not for the better.

Hi Pinkfairyjade, do you by any chance know the name of the SA who got relocated to London and/or her email address? I will be in London and was hoping to book an appointment with her to get a few of items. Many thanks
Hi, it was Ewa. She is now in the new Harrods ready to wear dept. Sorry but I don’t have an email for her. Maybe you could email the department and mark it for her attention? Good luck and happy shopping. Xx

Come to Manchester! Carole, Kay, Paul and the team will look after you. I've only ever had joy from shopping with them. Still, a rotten journey to have to do from Glasgow. You would hope that Hermes could squeeze in at the New Town in Edinburgh eventually but their cost/benefit analysis is stringent I understand.
We are frequent visitors to Edinburgh and the amount of tourists is high all year round. I cannot think why Hermès would not want a presence here. They would have a captive audience.

I totally agree. Edinburgh’s population has also dramatically increased over the past decade and they expect this trend to keep going - there is a great market there already.

I’ve purchased two B’s from the Glasgow store over the years and was desperately after a Kelly but now feel like I have no chance because i’m never going to be able to forge a relationship with any SA. I Also get deeply embarrassed about even asking.

So sad that the Glasgow store closed. I'm not surprised though, the last time I was home I was shocked how badly Buchanan street had been affected by the lockdowns. Has there been any serious chat about Edinburgh or is this just wishful thinking on our part? I think it would do really well there, close to Harvey Nichols.

Wishful think so far.

I can only imagine H is still addressing many of the issues to do the pandemic (good and bad for business) and Scotland is not a priority.

Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are such beautiful cities in their own way, someone official needs to address the problems with Glasgow retail (and all over Scotland, Perth and Dumfries included, in any other country these would be heritage sites).

I'm equidistant from both cities, and so I don't mind which, but it's very annoying not to have anything closer to Manchester, in fact I just wait 'til I can get to London (because their are 5 stores not including airport) even then there's nothing to pull me in this year. I'm surprised H haven't contacted me to see if I'm still alive :D

Didn't know you were in Scotland, love that! Yes, such a pity that our beautiful cities with so much historical beauty and tradition don't have their own Hermès. My local boutique is Bcn, which is a lovely store with lovely people, so I'm thankful for that. I know some of my Friends from back home shop at Manchester rather than London.

Usually half the year, but because of lockdown I was stuck South. Glasgow was great for little treats.

So glad you have a lovely store.

Manchester has very good service I've heard. Even when traveling I prefer the east coast route, but I could easily take the train for sure.

Me too, that east coast route is so pretty, especially when it passes from North Berwick down to Berwick upon tweed, just gorgeous.
Yes and the Glasgow staff were so friendly, such a shame.

Annoys me the North is always forgotten, i'm 3 and a half hours drive from Manchester, the team is friendly but the store is tiny. When I went they didn't have what I wanted, they wouldn't let me know about stock before hand. I just wouldn't bother again unless I was there for other reasons.

Coming back to this 2 years later, has there been any inklings of an Edinburgh store? We're moving home next year, would love a Scottish store
