really nice! are the chains heavy?
No, the chains are not heavy at all. But after having it for a day, I'm realizing that the chains are driving me nuts. They're clanky (is that a word?) and now that I had a much closer look at it, the hardware could have been a little better looking. I'm thinking I should have just ordered the one with the regular leather straps. Ughh, I do have a White one on the way with regular leather straps. I may just keep that one, and send this one back tomorrow. Hate to do it, but I love this bag otherwise. I'll sleep on it.

i thought the chain ones would be good as i heard that the straps are longer... i tried the orginal one with a thick winter coat on, wished the straps were a bit longer!

Yes, the chain straps are definitely long enough to wear with a winter coat! :D If you like the chains on this bag, then I would recommend this bag. I do think this bag looks very cute with the chain straps. I'm just very picky, and I prefer more shinier hardware rather than the matte, brass hardware that this bag has. I am not saying this bag is bad at all. It's a great bag!:D It's just my personal preference to have this bag with the regular leather straps.

^^Really? I wear mine with winter coat just fine - although hopefully with a few more weeks this won't be an issue at all.

I actually like the shorter handle drop length - it hugs the body more that way.
