Yep, she's jealous! Let me tell you something--if you have a purse fetish, you're definitely going to have a diaper bag fetish!!! My son is 2 1/2 (the last of 3) and I probably owned about 15-20 different bags--all of them super expensive bags that I bought because I just wanted different ones! :roflmfao: I joined a diaper bag board just to do co-ops and resell my bags after I used them for a month or so! LOL! I actually have 3 bags left--one of which I will never give up--it's a One Cool Chick bag and it's a red satin brocade--lovely...ah...sorry, I digressed for a second...I finally stopped carrying so much stuff (i.e. a thousand diapers, bottles, baby food, change of clothes, etc) and found it much cheaper to buy a larger expensive purse because they can be used forever. so, start saving your money right now for future baby bags! :yes:

She'll understand the need, the drive, the pull--one day, don't worry! LOL!

She doesn't have any kids yet does she? As soon as one comes along she will surely learn that a great diaper bag is very important. I went through so much diaper bag drama. I finally got a Kate Spade baby bag which I love. It was my first higher end bag...before I was into Coach. I really didn't want a diaper bag that matched my daughters stroller and nothing else!

My former sil didn't understand my Coach love and would make comments about the cost. Not that it was any of her business. She would go to the flea market and get hideous fakes.
Maybe you can tell her that you understand that not everyone appreciates quality.
