Hi! Which doctor was your surgeon? How do you like your results so far? Did you take a translator along?
Thank you! Why did you choose Dr Kang over Dr Choi?My surgeon was Dr Kang Kwang Rae.
No translator needed. They've an English inhouse translator whose name is Minnie.
Regarding my results, my double eyelids were nicely & cleanly stitched but the swelling took some time to go down. My eyes looked strange for almost 2 months due to this reason (the eyelids looked too deep and high from the swelling), to the point that I'd attract stares from strangers. My recovery journey was rather distressing and an emotional rollercoaster for this very reason.
But my eyes now look almost natural after 2 months -- I'm no longer worried anymore -- and should be fully normal by the 3 or 4 month mark.
Quick answer to how my surgeon was: he was approachable and diligent, and came across as serious about his work. I still read his DES reviews on Gangnam Unni every now and then and seems like many ladies like his (good) work.
Specific to my eyebag repositioning, I'd say he did a good job overall BUT there is some very slight residual bagginess on my right eye. Nonetheless, I'm quite pleased with the results overall as I used to have extremely severe hereditary eyebags, so undergoing this procedure was honestly life-changing.
The Zestar hospital and OT were very clean, and all the staff were professional too. Also, I didn't worry about a shadow doctor operating on me as I could hear him and a nurse while sedated during my surgery. I'd recommend visiting them for a consultation at the very least. Hope that helps!
Dr Kang was the doctor who was recommended for me. I didn't go in with a specific doctor in mind.Thank you! Why did you choose Dr Kang over Dr Choi?

hi, would you be willing to share a before/after photo? perhaps via DM?Hi all. Here's an update a number of years later. My eyefat has definitely moved a bit. It's a little more pronounced on one side than the other, but not super noticable. You can definitely see more of a line or a divot in certain lighting. I don't know if I rubbed it too much or what. My weight really hasn't changed. But yeah, I'd say this procedure was not worth it, just as a knee-jerk reaction. I this it's better than it was, but the fact that it wasn't a permanent fix really throws me off. I also have trouble gauging like how noticable my eyebags are to begin with... I went in for a revision consultation with NANA and it would cost double to get it revised. For now I don't think I'll do it again. The thread lift really didn't last any longer than year, was incredibly painful, and i definitely wont get that again. I am absolutely not considering filler, due to migration concerns.
As I age, I will likely get more and more hollowing under the eyes. I may get a fat graft to the area or a revision later on. Compared to directly after my surgery, my undereyes were completely smooth and even. Now there isn't bulging per se, but there is a difference in contour that does cause a shadow, particularly in harsh overhead light. But for now, I just don't want to do it again and then have the results not stick. I'm not really sure what caused the problem to begin with.
I did get a brow lift with NANA last year, and I'm way more satisfied with those results. I haven't seriously talked through what a revision could do for me as far as creating results that will stick, I just had the doctor look at my eyes when I was at NANA for my brow lift. So far, I'm pretty happy with how I look, and I think my eyes have a lot of fullness under them that I'm happy with. They're more or less balanced. So if you're okay with a little give and a little aging to the results, I think it's a good options.
I can show you photos now, but I don't think I have photos of immediately after because I changed phones lolol. You can dm mehi, would you be willing to share a before/after photo? perhaps via DM?
