I was told the JUC was discontinued once so I don't know if they are planning to do it again.

Its a big sales success and they keep releasing new pieces like cufflinks, and the JUC "Torque" necklace...so they aren't going to discontinue it any time soon. Anyway, congrats and enjoy your new JUC!

Not sure if the store was empty and you waited 10 minutes, or if it was busy and you waited 10 minutes. At my nearest Boutique, unless you make an appointment, they can often be very busy and you may easily have to wait 20 minutes or more, even if you are a regular customer there. If they were totally empty, well then maybe its a lazy or disinterested sales associate...sadly they exist in all businesses.

As for you being speechless about her asking you to take off your watch...that's actually quite common at lots of jewelry and watch stores. Gold is very soft and if your watch or other jewelry scratches their brand new bracelet and you do not purchase it, it could be difficult to sell as there are lots of picky buyers who won't buy that piece that has scratches. Very picky buyers often insist on brand new unscratched items. So on this issue, I think there is nothing for you to be upset about.

I do think it was rude for her to comment about your Apple watch not looking good with the bracelet. That is none of her business and you didn't ask for her opinion.

Since you don't live in the area, and you don't have to shop at that location, I would move on, enjoy your bracelet, and purchase Cartier goods elsewhere. I'm sure a nicer sales associate will be more than happy to get your business.

I agree with you. However, I sometimes it's not about what you say but HOW you say it. I didn't like her tone and her attitude. I even felt I was bothering her...

The reason I believe she was profiling was because right after I put my card on the table she changed her attitude and got a LOT nicer.

The store was empty when I came in. I would understand if the store was packed, but unfortunately it was empty.

I'm enjoying my bracelet so much that I don't even care about that SA anymore but when I come back For the love bracelet I won't be buying it to her. Thanks for your opinion ;) I'll take your advice.

I agree, sometimes its not what you say, but how you say it or the tone that is used. Sadly it sounds like you had a poor excuse for a sales associate helping you, but I've learned all companies have a few bad employees in the bunch.

When a store is empty and they don't offer to help you, well there simply is no excuse for that. We were in Las Vegas and my wife wanted an LV handbag she had seen that was up on a tall display, and although the store was completely empty, the sale's associates couldn't be bothered helping us. They continued to chat among themselves. We were on vacation, and not dressed up, but I was wearing a Rolex, a golf shirt & jeans and my wife had on a Cartier watch and an Hermes handbag. After walking around the store for a few minutes and then waiting a few more, I said loudly enough for them to hear, "Let's go, we can buy it at the local boutique at home." We walked out, and a week later bought the same bag from our local boutique , and we never buy anything or shop at the Vegas location...so in the end its their loss.

You have a great bracelet! Enjoy it, and don't worry about the jerk you had for a sales associate. She isn't going to get any of your future business, someone else will and that's real pay back!

When I was younger and starting my exploration into luxury goods, I felt the need to dress up and impress the SA! Now IDC, I go in with flip-flops (slippers = Hawaii local term) and shorts and t-shirt. I dont approach anyone and if I need something I just wave my hand in the air, smile and tell them to come here to where I have questions. If I dont like the SA by their first impressions, then I just ask questions and thank them for their time. But since I have established good SA in most of the boutiques, I just email or text them when they are available and ignore the other SA. Sorry if I sound rude, but I know how these SA can be rude to us customers who are helping them with their paychecks and commission. No customer has to impress a SA to inquire and buy a certain product. My SA in Cartier knows me and know I can purchase a jewelry fashion statement piece! As stated, I have no time for rude SA, cuz I work in healthcare and give the utmost respect and compassion to my patients who are in need of TLC.

Sorry to hear your experience was not great. I'm a guy in my 20s, and Cartier seems to be the most intimidating place I go to along with Hermes ((due to past not so great experiences...terrible experiences actually)) so I understand how it must have felt. I also dress very casual, sometimes even sweatpants, *gasp!* ...I know lol!

If anything I wouldn't worry if I were you. What matters is the item itself and as long as the bracelet is okay and makes you happy then that is all that matters. What I do is not associate the experience with the item. At the end of the day, you're probably not gonna see them again. Especially if you find a new SA to help you. You could try to contact store manager if you want. I definitely considered it with some of my past experiences but soon just didn't think it was worth wasting my time over a person that probably isn't even worth my time.

Enjoy your JUC! It's a gorgeous piece!

I know, it was intimidating, but I just had a completely different experience yesterday when I visited the boutique in PR. I agree with you... you get upset at first but then you get over it... Thanks for your respond.

I feel you. It sucks when these stuff happens. Sometimes I even wonder if they are earning comission. If I'm on comission I'll always do my best even in crappy days when I don't feel like it. But that's just me...

I'm in Puerto Rico right now and I went to the Cartier boutique yesterday. My sister was going to get a new color band for her trinity bracelet and the SA was incredibly nice to us! I even got her phone number so I can call her for my next purchases

Sucks she treated you badly. But it's pretty normal the comments about the scratch I have two loves and when I went to see the JUC my SA said just don't bang it with the loves, so it doesn't scratch.

They totally profile imo. I once went into a nearby boutique that was not the one I typically frequent wearing jeans and carrying my neverfull. It was my turn to be waited on next. When an sa became free she asked who was next. A snotty couple who were dressed nicely (but IMO were just putting on airs) said that they were (even though they knew I was). I stated that I was next. The sa I kid you not looked me up and down and then said she believed the couple was next. I had stopped in because I wanted a new watch. Well after that experience, I decided to hop on over to another jeweler and bought a Rolex instead. I will never go back to that boutique. I love Cartier but they really need to work on their customer service at that boutique. And I'm not the only one I know based on yelp reviews that's dealt with such snobbery!

Its sad, but profiling of potential new clients based on clothing, jewelry, handbags etc. happens at almost all high end stores, boutiques, car dealerships etc. I worked at several high end stores when I was in college and I found the SAs always noticed and mentioned what potential clients were wearing. Some are SAs are just better at hiding their evaluations of a potential client, and some SAs are just nicer people than other SAs.

Oh god. I have problems like this with Cartier every time I enter their store. I finally found one SA who is amazing and I set up appointments with her. I can't stand the side eye when I walk in there that turns to sugar when they see my tank. I would actually have so much more respect for them if they just owned the b*tch routine the whole time.

I've been pretty unhappy with my Cartier experiences overall to be honest. I got the run around when I took my watch in for service (they told me they would buff it - came back not buffed and now they want me to pay the service fee again on top of the buffing fee because they won't buff without a service). And, out of the blue when I was looking at something else, I had a SA tell me I didn't "deserve" one of their watches because mine was such "a mess" (I wear it every day and I'm a klutz. WHICH IS WHY I WANTED IT BUFFED) So frustrating.

I'd love a LB but after all the nonsense, I just think there are so many better places to leave your money. As everyone has said, enjoy you new piece and know "it isn't you".
