@plastic_cabbage Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
I've been asking around and all the clinics that quoted me suggested the same procedures you did for the nose.
(Bulbous tip correction, Rhinoplasty with silicone implant and Alar base reduction).
I think I am about ready to end my endless online research and I am considering these three clinics (I haven’t gotten the quotes from them yet lol)
-Marble
-NANA
-Hyundai
Is the 30% discount offer specific to their SG event, or do you know if it's something they offer all year round?
I am considering to do my chin and eyes as well.

Hi! I believe it's not specific to the SG event, and you should be entitled to the discount since you're doing 3 surgeries! Definitely try to pit them against each other to see if you can get a better price overall. :D IIRC NANA would also offer free hotel lodging/chauffeuring service if you hit above a certain price point too!

I didn't do my research on Marble but I heard Hyundai is better known for revisions and is thus generally more expensive. :P

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, my country is not eligible for the K-ETA visa so I have to apply for different visa type. When you apply for K-ETA visa, do they ask you purpose for the visit to Korea? Like in immigration or embassy. Because K-ETA is also like tourism purposes so I think it’s easier for me to apply tourist visa than medical visa which require more detailed requirements. But I’m also scared that hospital will take it lightly on the surgery.
Hi, so sorry I missed the question!

For K-ETA, I also stated it was for tourism/visitation. I believe there was a section for me to elaborate so I keyed in "Plastic surgery", but I believe you can just state it's for tourism! :)

Note: In Singapore, we use iris and fingerprint scanners to verify our identity, so there were no issues with going through customs. Ironically, the incisional ptosis correction actually quickened the process because the machine could scan my irises better now LOL. People still recognised me since the changes were pretty natural, hence all's good.

Hi everyone!

Here's a ~1-month update on my situation.

1. I am still experiencing asymmetrical swelling in both my nose and eyes, with the right side being more swollen than the left.
2. There appears to be a very small discolouration above my right eye, but I'm uncertain whether it's a scar or a bruise. However, I believe it will gradually fade over time. The last resort would be carbon laser treatment.
3. Despite my efforts to sleep on my back, I often find myself sleeping on my side for a significant portion of the night. It hasn't really affected my nose structurally.
4. My phone accidentally slipped from my fingers and fell on the side of my nose last week. Although there was no bleeding, I experienced some pain and significant swelling, which gradually subsided over the following days. Attached is a pic of the ordeal.
5. A bit TMI but I have recently started also using earwax pickers with cameras to clean my nasal passages instead of solely Q-tips. I had to get rid of the piece of booger flapping as I inhaled and exhaled.
6. I don't use nose tape, but I do engage in gentle nose massages to alleviate the swelling.
7. The tip of my nose is still swollen and thus mildly numb, making it somewhat challenging to sense its presence (which can result in accidental swiping).
8. Not all the stitches in my nose are dissolved yet. Some of them are stuck to a few boogers but I'm not going to mess with them. Thank goodness they aren't visible.
9. People tend to notice the change in my eyes more than my nose (understandably). Those I asked perceived the changes as a natural "upgrade" that didn't diminish my existing features. Although my monolids are no longer present (sigh), the overall consensus was that the transformation was seamless and in harmony with my original appearance. I'm now Cabbage 2.0!

Some didn't even notice but it's because I had the privilege of befriending people who don't actually put that much emphasis on looks and self-loathing. :thinking:Grateful to have great homies.

Overall, I'm healing up quite nicely despite a few boo-boos. Is this thick-skinned privilege?

*Full disclaimer is I personally don't mind a little bit of asymmetry in my final results either, so I've been pretty contented throughout the healing journey thus far. Plus it's still a tad too early to tell!

I think It’s still bulbous, i hope it is just the swelling. Unless you still want your biological nose shape and don’t want a drastic change and just a glow up. So you can just use the excuse most celebrities use: “my face just matured”

Oh yes it's definitely still swollen since I'm still quite early post-op (there're still stitches in my nose). It takes at least 2 years to see proper results since my skin is thick!

Personally, it's ok if my nasal tip retains its playful, "boopable" appearance. But since I paid for a tip-plasty... I'm hoping to get my money's worth. :P

Btw Your nose has a glow up .

My goal is drastic change (glow up where ill get stop at the airport). I saw a girl on fb of one Filipino clinic she had rhinoplasty done by filo doctor (dr de leon) which is super nice. i already paid most $$$ for flights to korea and accommodation and going back to PH is too troublesome. So I’m just praying for the best.

I like this kind of glow up. The one where you will get stop at immigration because you look nothing like your passport photo lol

Oh, the pic I sent was not a "before and after"! Both pics were taken during post-op, one day apart, when I hit my nose and it looked bent "sideways"... so I slept and all was good again. :') I'll share a proper B&A after 6 months. :P

Her new nose looks great on her! Facial harmony is definitely key. I can't wait for your surgery already. >:3

I hope you are doing well with your recovery ☺️
I will be also going to NANA in July for surgery, but I’m going there alone so I have a few questions I would like to know.
Is there any combination number locker to keep my personal belongings like passport and cards?
For the tax refund they told me to bring my passport but I’m not sure if I will be able to move around freely after surgery.
Do they help you do tax refund on the same day of surgery or the next day ? Thank you ☺️

Thanks for very informative and honest review. I will try to follow your format after my surgery on July.

The slap is totally unnecessary, they can wipe your face wet (but I’m not sure if the slap is their last resort haha)
Hello~ I booked appointment in July as well. I will be in Seoul for early July so are you be around that time too?

Thank you!

1. Yep, you will be directed to a locker room for your things. :)

2. They can help you process your tax refund receipt anytime after payment— you can even bring your passport on stitch removal day!

The instructions on how to get the cash will be provided on the paper they give along with the receipt. You can then get the $$$ (either in KRW or transferred to your card) in the airport, on the day you fly back. My advice is to go to the airport ~2.5 hours earlier because it is hugeeee.

Atb and good luck! Is your hotel/Airbnb near? It'd be better if it's nearer to the place because you may feel really giddy and cold after the surgery. ;w;

Thanks for your reply.

So I don’t have to do tax refund on the same of the surgery right? Because they told me to bring my passport so I was confused about going to tax refund place soon after the surgery.
My hotel is one station away from the nearest station from the hospital. I was planning to stay one night over at hospital but do they allow it for rhinoplasty patient?

No problem!

Yep you don't have to do your tax refund on the same day of the surgery. :) You'll just have to bring your passport on surgery/stitch removal day so they can process it for you first.

As for the hospital stay, you can ask your consultant if that's possible. Otherwise, I would advise taking a cab to your hotel so you can chill in the car. :3

Hi everyone! This is my second-month update.

My eyes are healing up really well. I have the occasional dry eye but nothing abnormal.

For my nose, clogged pores and angry pimples started forming. I tried physical exfoliation and also using a nose charcoal mask to help, but it got worse (obviously). I then used a nose hydrocolloid patch and that definitely helped.

Looks-wise, my tip is still numb and swollen. My nose does "change" in shape daily, but I'm pleased with the current progress. The dissolvable stitches are taking a while tho'. :P
