Good point. You're lucky if you can affort retail prices; I can't. I shop at the bay because I have found some great deals and I've yet to be scammed. But e`bay has become a very dangerous place for a lot of people, and I'm just trying to help them out. People call it evilbay because of the many bad experiences they're having. I call it fReaKbay because there's a freak show on e`bay every day. Buyers don't go some place else because there's no other place to go--for now. And apparently many of them, too, can't afford retail. I agree with you it's gamble no matter who you buy from, or whether you're buying or selling. That's the bay. :shrugs:

There are way too many Goyard fakes on ebay. I would suggest buying it at the Goyard store or Barney's. Those auctions actually look legitimate but one of the caveats to remember is that the fakes use the same type of canvas material for the body which make them were virtually indistinguishable from the originals to the naked eye. The major difference is that the fakes have a funny smell because they use lower quality leather on the trims which you can't tell from an auction. Some of the lower quality fakes also have slight variations in the Goyard logo.

I think most of the counterfeits are reported and removed.

Right now there are only 3 listed on ebay (US)

there is no way that is the same person. if the account was registered in 05 it would have been suspended along with all of the others. stolen pictures, maybe....same person, humanly impossible. Try to register a new account and see what all you have to do to sell...takes a credit card, PREMIER paypal account verified with a banking account (not associated with ANY other account), and a phone number confirmation. There is just no way possible.

Ebay's security is really tight. I suppose it COULD happen, but most people aren't smart enough to pull the hacking trick. Ebay would register the IP and web habbits as well and link them all together. I think we are all over reacting. We know what ebay is...that leaves us all paranoid. :)

They have been using the same set of pictures for 6 months. And as we've displayed here, more than one of us has been scammed bidding on these auctions. Something is sketchy. Not sure what exactly...

If only I had found all of you before I saw a great white Goyard St. Louis on ebay last month and did a "buy-it-now" with L. Price in McRae, Arkansas (who revealed that her name was Lauren Baylee) and uses an email of "nicoleprice") with a personal check. She now has the identical photos including the Barney's receipt she sent me (!) listed <http://cgi.ebay.com/100-Authentic-Goyard-St-Louis-GM-tote-with-receipt_W0QQitemZ150307263063QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150307263063&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14>. When I contacted her yesterday she became very defensive. Note that in between the two white bag listings she listed (and presumably sold) a pink one using the same receipt (which shows two bags).
